Frank Prince, the one and only owner, is pleased to offer his 1994 North American Specification Land Rover Defender 90. This Defender 90 was brought to the USA late in 1993 as the National Car Show vehicle for the release of the Defender 90 model in 1994. It was purchased at the end of the show in Dallas Texas with zero miles.It was upgraded for the show at the factory with light guards, brush bumpers and a Hella lighting kit and air conditioning.
This is an exceptionally original and unrestored NAS D90 with only 51,100 miles. The vehicle has been kept in showroom condition in an air conditioned garage in both Dallas and now in Odessa, Florida. Clean CarFax with no accidents, no paintwork and no rust issues underneath. This is the nicest and cleanest unrestored original Defender on the market today. If you want the best, look no further, this is the one. This is a remarkably clean example that presents and drives as you would expect given the low mileage.
Original paint has been maintained in great condition; soft top is excellent and the plastic windows remain unclouded and scratch free. Likewise the side curtains look new as they have always been stored in their fitted bag when removed from the doors. It also comes with a bikini top for those warm convertible days. Very nice original wheels are wearing BF Goodrich Mud-Terrains. The Hella headlights include both pencil beam and wide beam patterns in addition to a set of Hella fog lamps down low. The underside is clean and tidy, and the steel frame and all cross members are solid with no rust.
Under the hood is Rover's 3.9 liter gasoline V8 mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The engine runs like new and the clutch, gearbox and shift linkage feel good with perfect synchros and tight shifting. All of the electronics are working. No warning lights on the dash. Service is up to date. Turn-key mechanically and cosmetically. Original books included.
Interior presents in excellent original condition; the original front seat upholstery, and the dash, steering wheel, door panels, and floor mats are all in great shape. Including a brand new NOS set of rubber mud and rain mats for driver and passenger sides are included. All gauges, lights and switches are working properly.
