1989 Land Rover Defender Defender 130 Additional Info:

Defender 130 in Keswick green. Please be advised that this is a project that includes a 300tdi with an automatic transmission. The current engine is a stock Diesel with a 6 speed manual and transfer case. The engine is not running and also not street legal. What you are buying is a legally imported truck with a new york title. My original donor truck was bought from Foleys but i decided to change out every part for updated parts to a puma spec. The 300tdi engine and transmission has a verified V5 log book 83k miles . It is automatic with high low and CDL Central Diff Lock. The truck is currently located at Outback garage in Long Island NY and they can complete the build for you if you require. They will install the 300tdi and convert to LHD since it would be easier to do so because of the bulkhead removal. I have all the parts to convert to LHD-This also comes with the truck. If you choose to complete the project for your self of-course you are welcome to do so. All builders welcomedI'm selling because i've been deceived by a previous builder and swindled out of parts and money and i really just want to move on. I've had several defenders since 2012 and it's not a novelty anymore. However this is a 130 that is not even in the new defender line up so as time goes by the 130's will become more and more sought after. It is also a true Puma spec and would make for a great start to an awesome build. My ask price is really what i have in it not including the parts i lost with the other builder. I don't know what it will cost to install the 300tdi. I could ask if you request. There are other 130's on this website. Some of high spec builds and others with very low specs. I guess what i'm getting at is that this is somewhere in the middle and you can go to a high spec with a very good donor.
Starting with the chassis. A 2017 galvanized Richard's chassis. 2015 puma cabin and tray brand new from Foleys sv. Cabin came with rear seats, rear doors, ceiling and windscreen. New 2015 factory metal hood NOT FIBERGLASS. Used front doors and wings. Front doors were off of a 2012 immobilized spec that has power windows. Used Bulkhead from a 2013 puma spec. Used axles, prop shafts and brakes from a 2010 130. New rear lights. Gas tank from a 2010 110. Brand new wiring loom, however with the switch to the 300tdi this would be obsolete. Options on this truck right now are heated seats, abs, power windows and Air conditioning. The wings, hood, and front doors were painted by me for uniformity but will require respray because they were so unprofessionally done.I would love to see someone complete this build as i've grown quite fond of this truck with its rarity and uniqueness.LHD parts include power steering box and lines.
