1993 Land Rover Defender Additional Info:

I have for sale my 1993 Defender 110 pickup. I engineered this vehicle to provide the ultimate balance between off road ability while retaining on road driveability.
As a historic race mechanic I’ve restored numerous vehicles in my career. The same attention to detail has been applied when upgrading and maintaining this Defender.
I purchased the Defender in 2013 in a completely standard condition. Since then the vehicle has undergone both refurbishment work along with numerous upgrades:
•The chassis is in exceptional condition having been stripped of all brackets, cleaned, prepared and painted.
•Fully refurbished Salisbury disc brake rear axle built with new calipers and ARB locking differential (RD161). A high output ARB compressor is fitted inside the cab with the wiring discreetly routed to the centre dash panel controls.
•The gearbox and transfer box have been replaced with newly rebuilt units from Ashcroft Transmissions in September 2014. The transfer box was rebuilt with a torque biasing limited slip centre differential, sleeved casing and high ratio 1.222 gearing for more relaxed road driving.
•Devon 4x4 King Racing dampers and bump stop suspension kit. These dampers were professionally setup for this vehicle by Gerardo Iribe of King Shocks. The purchase price of the dampers, bump stop and brackets alone was £4,317.14.

With most of the major components on the vehicle having been upgraded and the chassis fully refurbished the mileage is almost irrelevant. In the 4 years I have owned this Defender I have done on average 6000 miles a year, during which it has proven to be completely reliable. It has passed it's last 3 MOT's first time with no advisories. Next MOT due: 20th October 2017
