1989 Land Rover Defender Additional Info:

1989 Land Rover Santana 88
We imported this Santana from Spain. The VIN is VSELBFBL8AZ116403. It has a clean Texas title in our name.
This truck isextremely honest. Everything on it is original, including the paint and decals. It is rust-free.
We treat each car we import as if we are going to own them and drive them for the next 5 years. When they arrive we do a preliminary assessment of what it will need mechanically. We buy genuine parts, or OEM if genuine isn’t available; this can be very time consuming as most parts will come from an overseas supplier, but we don’t want to buy cheap Chinese counterparts that will need to replaced again in three years. After those repairs are done, we drive the cars as our own daily drivers, put them through their paces in all real world situations (around town, freeway, offroad, through traffic, etc) so that we give any lingering mechanical or electrical issues a chance to pop up. After a few weeks of this, we do our final repairs and only afterwards can it be called a Dutch Safari Daily Driver. Only when we’d feel comfortable having you hop in and drive two thousands miles, and then use it to commute to and from work every day.
This truck received new:-tires-hood hinge bushings-front brakerotors and pads-rear brake drums and shoes-brake bleed screws-front wheel bearings and re-seal-engine oil and filter-fuel filter-radiator cap-Evans coolant-cooling hoses-intake hose-swivel housing grease-PAS fluid-transmission fluid-transfer case fluid-front differential oil-rear differential oil
We upgraded the following things:-Blue Sea Systems battery disconnect switch-Lifetime coolant that will last the life of the car without corroding or needing a flush-Battery cable, made in houseusing 2/0gauge American made wire, 3m marine heat shrink, marineterminals, a marine switch and sleeved with a material that can stand up to 1200 degrees F ofconstant heat as well as an open flame
There is nothing on it that needs to be addressed. It runs, drives, starts, and stops excellently, and feels very comfortable and solid on the road. As a diesel, it gets great gas mileage.
The truck comes with the original owner's manual and service booklet.
Located in Austin, TX. We can help arrange shipping if necessary.
