This 110 was legally imported in 2016 and all duties paid. It had been inspected and approvedCBP. Obviously she has all matching numbers ie. chassis, engine, meaning it is as it left the factory. This truck is currently registered in Rhode Island.

All documents related to import will be furnished to buyer for your records and confidence.

I personally select each vehicle we purchase for restoration in person. This 110 came from a farm in Peterborough, UK. What we found on viewing was a mechanically sound truck with a sturdy, no rust bulkhead and an original, solid chassis that had not been messed with. It was however a cosmetic nightmare…and just what we are looking for. The engine starts first time, EVERY TIME. The engine does not blow ANY smoke. The transmission is smooth and quite through all gears. The transfer case shifts effortlessly.

The Underbody and Driveline:

We stripped the truck down to a rolling chassis. The chassis was then stripped to bare metal and then re-waxoyled. The Salisbury rear and front axle, along with other undercarriage bits were stripped and painted with POR-15.

The suspension was updated with Genuine Land Rover shocks and springs (Puma) and a new steering dampener. We updated to galvanized shock towers as well.

The brakes system was inspected and updated. New stainless steel brake lines, with stainless steel fittings, installed all around.

All fluids changed in vehicle; both axles, transfer box, engine

Transfer case had the front seal replaced.

The Body

All body panels removed and striped of all paint. We decided to discard several body pieces and replace with new pieces. We then repainted the individual pieces in Land Rover Arles Blue (LRC424). The roof and wheels are finished in Land Rover Alpine White (LRC456). The truck bed was stripped of original paint, primed and sprayed with Raptor bed liner for a durable finish. Upon reassembly, all rivets used are sealed rivets, not your Home Depot variety. Stainless steel nuts and bolts have been used in all areas appropriate. New body pieces include:

New doors

New style, rust-free hinges with stainless steel hardware

New wing side panels, both left and right

New tailgate with new mounting hardware

New diamond plate wing tops

Galvanized Front bumper with end caps

New front grill

New headlight bezels

New side mirrors

New, original style lights were mounted all around.

New windscreen

New Genuine Land Rover door gaskets

The wheels were sandblasted and refinished. We mounted Michelin 4X4 O/R XZL tires.

The Interior

Seats refinished with new Exmoor covers and a new Exmoor cubby box.

Bulkhead foot wells striped of paint, primed, and then sprayed with Raptor for a tough, durable finish.

Seat box sides repaired with new pieces from YRM. Old under seat tool box discarded and new box built via YRM parts. Under seat boxes where etch primed, primed, and finished with POR-15 for maximum protection. The seat box and balance of the interior were repainted in Arles Blue.

The Other stuff….

I have described this vehicle to the best of my ability. The 110 will be available for viewing and I encourage any serious buyer to perform a PPI (Pre-Purchase Inspection). There are several reputable shops in the area for you to choose from. This truck is sold As IS, no warranty is implied.

Feel free to ask any questions. Should you require additional photos of certain areas, please reach out.

Check out our Facebook page, Higher Ground Rovers, with more photos of this build in album titled “1988 Blue 110 Pick Up.”

This truck is listed locally and I maintain the right to end the auction early.

Rhode Island does not issue titles for vehicles. For an instate transaction, ownership can be transfer via the registration. Out of state buyers receive 2 documents from me, via the state, that serve as a title. They are a Certified copy of Registration and a Title Law Letter. Both are stamped and certified by the State of Rhode Island.

Shipping cost are a buyers expense. I can help coordinate shipping if needed.
