1980 Land Rover Defender Additional Info:

I am relisting my Land Rover due to a non-paying bidder...This is an excellent condition Land Rover Series III 88 with a brand new top(right hand drive). I have only had the truck for a month before finding out that my wife and I are expecting a new baby which forces me to sell my beloved Land Rover. This has been my dream truck for quite some time. Nothing can match it's versatility, reliability, ruggedness and overall simplicity of the design. The engine and the transmission are in EXCELLENT running condition and is a true blast to drive. It starts up immediately on the first try and runs and sounds like the proverbial sewing machine. It is with a very heavy heart that I am posting this ad and can honestly say that I am VERY sad to see it go.
The interior was treated to a new black carpet kit prior to me acquiring it and shows very well, the seats are free of any tears or cracks in the vinyl, the tires are 98% new, the body is free of any dings or dents and the frame is free of any rot. The truck has just had an oil change and a new thermostat installed. All lights and gauges are fully functional. The color of the truck is blue, but was treated to the back garage dull paint job which looks AWESOME imho. I am also including the Land Rover Series Repair Manual (affectionately known as The Green Bible by Land Rover owners) and the door tops which are not presently installed.
The truck was purchased from Earl of Strangerover.com. I encourage any prospective Land Rover Series shopper to visit, and if possible, speak with this gentleman, as he is extremely knowledgeable about this particular truck as well as any other Land Rover model.
Please see video below of my friend Earl driving this truck when I first purchased it from him back in October, 2016
Please feel free to contact me with any questions as I will do my best to answer. Don't be afraid to make an offer. Worst I can say is "No".
Potential buyers are encouraged to inspect and test drive the vehicle before purchasing.
