1978 Jeep CJ CJ-7 Additional Info:

I have a daily driver 1978 Jeep CJ7 going up for a no reserve auction. Look at my feedback score and bid with confidence. The Jeep has a clear Virginia title and is ready to go. This Jeep is a turn-key daily driver quality Jeep. It doesn't need anything but a driver to enjoy it in the summertime sun. Oil and filter has just been changed, all the fluids checked and topped off as needed, all grease fittings lubed also. The Jeep has fresh paint, decals and custom pinstripes. It has a new Bestop bikini top only, new floor mats. New slip on seat covers, new battery and old school leather wrap steering wheel. The drivers seat had atear in it from getting in andout. The back seat is in it, but it has no seat belts. The front seats have seat belts. Glove box is in it and good. New battery and a freshly rebuilt carburetor. The Jeep starts good, idles good and runs good. If it sits for a few days it will puff a little bit of light blue smoke when you first start it, then it clears up and doesn't smoke anymore. No leaks. The inside of the tub was painted with Rustoleum black as well as the frame. The Jeep has had some rust repair on the tub and frame. It is almost 40 years old. The frame looks good with a 3/16" thick plate welded in to repair some rust thru.(see pics) It looks good, is safeand is probably stronger than the original frame. The tub has had some rust repair with metal patch panels and some body filler. I don't know of many Jeeps this old that haven't had some rust repair and therefore thisJeep is priced accordingly. It looks good and is a head turner for sure. The Jeep has a matching set of 31x10.50x15 all terrain tires with decent tread. They are mounted on original chrome Jeep wheels with new centers. It has manual steering and disc brakes that work good.Brake pads, master cylinder and passengers side brake caliper are new. It has good brakes. The steering is pretty tight considering the age of the Jeep. It wanders a little if you get above 50 or 55 mph, but not real bad. It takes a few miles to get used to it, as with any older vehicle. The lights work except a couple in the dash, some of them work. They may need some bulbs replaced I'm not sure. The manual hubs, transfer case and 4-wheel drive works good and smooth with no problems. Again, this is a driver quality Jeep that if you want to go off-road you can without risking a huge investmentof scratching upa high dollar $15,000 restored Jeep. I don't know of anything major this Jeep needs except a driver. Please feel free to ask questions as I check my email daily. Bidders with feedback scores of less than 10 will need to email or call me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. Its nothing personal, but I have had several zero feedback bidders win a vehicle and never follow thru with the transaction. Look at all the pics closely and bid with confidence. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
