Description:These Jeeps are getting more and more difficult to find. While not the exact same model year as the film (1992), this 1993 Jeep Wranger YJ Sahara does have all the appropriate parts, and was customized by J. Fauth at No Limit Customs to be as movie-accurate as possible. He's completed over a dozen restorations for Jurassic Jeeps for several years now.
After buying the original Jeep (unmodified), I added a completely new rebuilt manual transmission, new slave cylinder, new clutch -- and paid for all movie accurate parts: re-upholstered seats, whip antennae, tires, paint job, fog lights, rear amber lights (currently non-operable), winch, etc (even have custom made door pouches included w/sale, but not installed) including correct interior color. The 4.0L straight 6-cylinder engine runs nicely with new battery. There was a lift on this Jeep originally but we had it lowered with new shocks, brake pads, rotors, etc for movie accuracy. Almost everything is new or updated to match the film as best as I could manage.
Earlier this year, I also had a new water pump, fuel pump, fuel pump strainer, clutch fan, thermostat, air filter, spark plugs, spark plug wiring, distributor, and crank sensor installed on this Jeep, to keep it in the best shape I could.
Keep in mind, the soft-top that was added to this Jeep was a cheaper material and does have a good amount of water staining (grey/black spots) from being outside. I would recommend investing in a newer top. There is also some rust on the whip antennae but no visible body rust at all. There is some rust on the undercarriage, but this typically develops with all Jeeps over time, and most was taken care of when J. Fauth sandblasted and re-coated the whole exterior body and the frame underneath for me when doing his customization work. Some rust has returned however on the undercarriage. One other thing to mention is the fuel gauge, which is sometimes inaccurate, so please bear that in mind as well.
Why Selling:I have a start-up company that I would really like to use these funds towards to help it get some better financial footing. This money would really help me launch more projects and get our first video game off the ground.
