1971 Jeep J2000 4x4 Additional Info:

When looking for a distinctive vintage truck, it's hard to beat this 1971 Jeep J2000 Gladiator. Aside from rarity, you get a tough 4x4 pickup that's ready for work duty. And when you see all the features, from the cool two-tone paint to the loaded interior, you'll realize this checks all your boxes for a standout classic. The appearance of the J-Series/Gladiator is quite an attractive one. It has an unmistakable Jeep lineage with its resemblance to the... related Wagoneers, but this pickup still retains its own unique flair. That's why people will love them at the car shows, even if they've never seen one before. The J2000 didn't have the same production numbers as The Big Three, but you'll love this truck for more than just rarity. It does a great job of mixing classic style and modern upgrades. You see it in the vintage blocky stance that gives this the ready-to-work attitude, and we love the older and more desirable round headlight front end. This is surrounded by nice updates, like the blue and silver metallic two-tone paint package. Plus, many of the upgrades also enhance the functionality of the truck. It includes pieces like the strong tubular bumpers, brush guard, tubular side steps, high intensity fog lights, trailering mirrors, and a modern tow hitch complete with wiring plug. There's even a well-integrated fiberglass bed cover. The silver and blue theme continues inside. These trucks shared their interiors with the other Jeeps, and so it's a quite comfortable place to spend some time. You'll recognize pieces like the wide dash from the Wagoneer. The seats look like the buckets from a CJ (only plusher) and there's a nice jump seat in the middle for carrying an extra person or folding down for a center armrest. There are a ton of great features you don't find in too many classics, including power seats, power windows, power locks, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and provisions for R134a air conditioning. There's a grippy upgraded sport steering wheel on a tilt column, and beyond that, you have crisp AutoMeter gauges. While this is a nicely updated pickup, the sliding rear glass means you can open up the side vent windows and still enjoy the old-school truck breezes. The Jeep/AMC 360 cubic-inch V8 has been a long-standing powerhouse utilized by some legendary vehicles. Just like the rest of the truck, this one looks like someone has made a solid investment in stoutness and power. This includes an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock hi-rise intake, ribbed valve covers, matching air topper, MSD ignition, and a Be Cool aluminum radiator. Plus, Hedman headers add more power while contributing to the sweet sound of the exhaust. This enhanced V8 is mated to a Torqueflite A727 three-speed automatic transmission. So that provides a nice balance of strong construction and easy parts availability. That's the kind of stout setup you want for off-road work, and you even have eight-lug wheels with BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/As. So this is a proper 4x4 with plenty of traction when you need it. But even if you just stay on the pavement, the power steering and power brakes w/discs up front make this truck a fine anytime choice. The sale comes with build receipts, service manuals, and maintenance records. This is the classic Jeep truck that offers power, rarity, and luxury all for quite a nice price. So if you love a distinctive pickup, don't let this one slip away. Call today!!!
