1974 Postal Jeep right hand drive, Rear Wheel Drivepretty cool little artifact. Purchased last year locally as a project, but now like most people I have too many of those.this will need very little mechanically, and some work cosmetically to get it looking great. it does run and drive, but can use just a touch more tuning up.
The good:Recently rebuild engine (by me)- new seals, bearings, rings, cleaned and checked all head components, pumps, etc. new engine paint, carburetor cleaned and rebuilt, new starter solenoidprofessionally rebuilt transmission- carolina transmission in asheville 3 speed automaticNew Tires, brand new windshield glass- not installed, new shocks-not installed
Needs:floor pans are rusted out and need replacing. you can buy them online at postaljeep.net I just never got that far in the project, could use some new door seals. seat and seatbelt could use replacing,windshield needs to be installedmost of the lights work, horns work but are not installed
engine still needs a tune up, probably points adjusted and timing set. i will throw in a new timing gun too
Overall, for the year and condition it's still pretty cool. I had fun working on it with my son, and feel someone who is mechanically inclined and has time could get this thing looking great.Local listing so bidding may end if offer is madeBuyer is responsible for shipping.
