1950 Willys Jeep with its blunt front end, round headlights, four flatfenders and boxy all steel cab immediately identifies it as a firstcousin to the Jeep CJ. This one recognizes itself as a one of a kindretro-classic. Call it a Rat Rod if you like, it is one of a kind built for highway speeds, a great cruiser. It draws a crowd everywhere, everytime.
Engine and Drive Train
This Willys not only looks rugged it is rugged. It has a General Motorsdrive train with an excellent V 6 engine, a 5-speed transmission, and totalfunctioning 4-wheel drive. The engine compartment is a real attentiongetter. It is clean, detailed and well organized. The engine runssmoothly, does not smoke or leak oil. Exterior

Themild Military theme is a history lesson from Jeep beginnings. The appealis universal. The designer chose the perfect name for thistruck.........."hell rat". People stop in their tracks whenever thistruck is displayed. It takes time to draw it all in. The one featurethat seems to amaze onlookers are the box side wings and 59 Cadillacblue dot tail lights. This was not an easy task. Careful attention to detail made itoutstanding. Starting with 75 mm msai shells to incorporate the Militarytheme the 59 Cadillac lights were fitted. In order to accommodate themthe box side wings were built. The blue dots were added forfinalization. The bumpers are rugged and fit perfectly. A heavy dutyhitch was installed. When you lower the tailgate you will find asurprise, an ice and drink compartment ready for a tailgate party. BFGoodrich deep tread Baja Champion tires nicely finish the exterior. The interior is nicely appointed. It is clean, the seat is comfortablefor 3 adults, not fancy but nice. The 1976 red, white, and blue add licenseplate sun visors add the finishing touch. The passenger side of the seat has an armrest, very comfortable. The glove box opens and is cleaninside. The rear window has a slider for those hot summer days.
This is a detailed one of a kind investment opportunity. Nothing elselike it on the road, not even close. I believe it to be a drive anywhere truck.
