1985 Jeep CJ Renegade Additional Info:

Up for sale is a beautiful, very low-mileage 1985 CJ7 Renegade.  This Renegade is a rare example as it looks exactly as good (or even better) in person as it does in the photos.  You'll be hard pressed to find a vehicle of this vintage in better overall condition and lower miles than this one. Under 58,000 original miles!

The Jeep has had only one exterior repaint in it's original Olympic White color code.  The interior still retains 100% original paint and is super clean. The decals look excellent as well with zero fading.  The interior seats are brand new (installed this week) Bestop seats that are super comfortable and look outstanding.  The rear seat is a "fold and tumble" so you have room to add larger items behind the rear seat should you wish.

The Jeep is absolutely rust free inside and out. I mean absolutely zero rust anywhere other than extremely minor superficial surface rust on random tiny spots on the underside.  The photo you see of the frame and underside is indicative of the entire Jeep.  100% original sheet metal with never any body work or repairs. The hood does have a small dent on the driver side, but is easily and inexpensively repairable with paintless dent removal (PDR).  My PDR guy is in Guam on military orders.  If he gets back before the Jeep is picked up, I'll have the dent repaired for you.  But to be honest, I didn't even notice it at first.

The Jeep drives wonderful...nice and straight with zero "wondering".  I had the Jeep up to 80 mph on the freeway to see how it handles and it is one of the nicest driving CJs I have ever owned.  Nothing on this Jeep has been modified.  It still retains all it's OEM emissions devices, original carburetor, original wiring with no cuttting/hack jobs.  The T5 transmission shifts firmly and effortlessly. The Dana 300 transfer case shifts into 4WD perfectly as it should.

Though this Jeep runs and drives excellent, it did stall on me twice during deceleration.  I sprayed some carbeurator cleaner down the throat of the carb and it did help some, but I'd say the occasional stall is the only minor problem this Jeep has.

Tires and soft top are in very nice shape.  The soft top is a Bestop Tigertop and the windows are very clear.  It may have a minor scuff here or there, but no tears, missing buttons, etc.  The doors close perfectly and the top looks very nice.  I had the OEM rocker guards and spare tire carrier powder coated Cardinal BK08 (satin black) for durability.  They look amazing.  I replaced the instrument bulbs with LED lights so you can actually see the gauges nice and bright at night and they look outstanding.

The radio is a very nice brand new AM/FM/Bluetooth.  The bluetooth microphone is built into the face. I have this same exact radio on another Jeep and it works great. I also installed brand new Sony 5.5" dash speakers that sound crisp and clear.

I try to be very complete and truthful in my vehicle disclosures.  Nobody likes a surprise when they buy a vehicle site unseen and I'm certain you won't have any (bad surprises at least).  If you have any questions or need clarity on anything, please do not hesitate to call me at 520-789-0875.  I am out of town until June 14, so the Jeep can be picked up any time after that date.

Here's my standard disclaimer:  $500 immediate deposit and balance due within 3 business days.  I'll overnight you the title once paid in full.  I'm in FL visiting my folks and return home on June 13, therefore the vehicle is available for pick up on or after June 14.  This is a 34 year old Jeep.  I trust it do drive across the country in it's current condition, but things can and do break on occasion with a vehicle of this vintage.  You're more than welcome to fly in and I'll pick you up from the airport, buy you lunch, take you to my house and then you can drive her away.  Alternately, you can arrange for transport and I'll store the Jeep for you for a reasonable amount of time (I have a very reasonable transport guy and can assist with this option).  Last option is to drive to my house with a trailer, drink a beer with me, and tow your new Jeep home.  That's sometimes the best option.

Thanks for looking!
