1982 Jeep Grand Wagoneer – Restored with Cummins 12 Valve Diesel with Turbo and Intercooler– Two Owner Vehicle

This truck was purchased brand new in 1982 by a family friend and came into my possession in 2011. Around 6,500 miles have been put on the truck since completion. This summer it was used for most of my commuting to work and local errands. It averages 17 mpg going to work in local traffic with lights. Drives smooth on the highway at 70-75 mph with no shakes or vibrations at all. Life changes and its time for someone else to enjoy this amazing truck.

This truck is a head turning and you’ll spend a lot of time at traffic lights talking to the vehicle in the next lane. Fits through a conventional garage door also.

It has been completed taken down and rebuild from the ground up.

- Brand new suspension with boxed frame, brake system with hydroboost, fuel system, weather stripping, interior components, and paint.

- Body has replacement Rocker Panels, Lower Quarters, new 16 gauge floor pans to prevent any flexing or noise, any signs of rust was removed. Paint was removed to bare metal, epoxy primed, rust proofed, bedliner, undercoated, sound proofed.

- Engine – Cummins 12 Valve diesel engine and drivetrain from a 1994 Dodge Ram 2500. Engine, Transmission, and Transfer Case were freshen up with gaskets, preventative maintenance and upgrades such as Killer Dowel Pin, Transmission Pan, Slip Yoke Eliminator, and more

What should be finished: Power steering gear box must be rebuilt. Included is a steering box rebuild kit and also PSC field serviceable power steering hoses (almost a $200 value). The truck drives normal in daily conditions and is tough to turn the wheel when parked. My plan was to tap the steering box and mount a hydroassist steering ram all at the same time. Just never got around to it.

A/C is not hooked up. The hoses must be changed to connect the mounted ac compressor to the under dash unit. The original hoses are included. It feels great to cruise down the road with all windows down.

Clear coat on hood is flaking and needs to be re-cleared. Base coat is fine.

Extra parts – There are a ton that come with the truck! Wood trim pieces from 2 trucks (most can be reused), another complete wire harness, switches, bolts, alternator, heat box, All will be placed in the back of the truck.
