1982 Jeep CJ Additional Info:

You are bidding on a 1982 CJ7. The Jeep is in my garage in Del Rio Texas and I have the title in hand. I have not registered it in Texas, but it did recently pass the Texas Safety inspection and it passed the Virginia safety inspection a few years ago.
This vehicle has been rebuilt over a few years with mostly new or rebuilt parts. It would be easier to list the things that were part of the original car...gas pedal, windshield wipers, steering column.
When I built it, my goal was to have a clean, original looking jeep. I was really trying to clean up all of the things that I did not like about other Jeeps like rust, wiring nests and a busy engine bay. I wanted to be able to open the hood and for people to say that they actually recognize the parts of the engine. It was very simple, until I decided to add fuel injection, but I think you can see from the pictures that the engine bay is still very basic.
I also wanted a jeep that you could get dirty, then wash out the interior with a hose...so no carpet. Everything on the Jeep can be hose washed. Even the Speed Hut gages are waterproof.
Here is my best shot listing what is on the car and condition. I do not want anyone to be surprised when they bid, so I will list everything as well as I can.
Engine was rebuilt.Offenhauser intakeMSD Atomic fuel injectionMSD Fuel pump and filtersHolley Fuel Pressure Regulator with return line to tank (Optional for the Atomic EFI)DUI HEI distributorHooker HeadersRebuilt T176 4 Speed Gearbox...I am not sure if the transfer case was rebuilt. New Drive ShaftsNew Fuel Tank and fuel lines.
InteriorFront seats were replaced a few years ago and still look new. New front seat belts. Floor was shot with bed liner. It has pealed a little under the gas pedal. There is a storage box between the seats that has the MSD EFI controller inside. The rear seat is not new, but I did add in anchors for a modern child seat...the red thing behind the rear seat in the pictures.
Dash is new. The only hole I put into the dash was for the Speed Hut gage dimmer.Gages from Speed Hut. They are awesome...They look like original gages, but the inner workings are digital and the billet aluminum casing is waterproof. The Speedo reads GPS speed. No cable to the transmission. The heater was rebuilt with a new blower motor and core. The glove box was replaced with the nice new plastic kind.
Body fiberglass is painted viper redI would say the paint is good from five feet. When you get close, you will see a few errors in the paint. There is a small run in the clear on the back a chip on the hood and a small run on the right of the hood where a latch would be on an original jeep. The hood is a single piece and tilts forward. It is reinforced with tubing inside and is very rigid in the down and up position. The hood is easily removed with three bolts and one plug making this the easiest jeep you will ever work on. New Bestop soft top, but I tried to open the back when it was 14deg and cracked the rear window. You can see clear tape on it behind the spare tire. New rear bumper with hitch. Mostly new lights all aroundThe "extra" parts of the roll cage were made with 2" DOM x 1/8 wall.

New Wheels and TiresBFG 33x12.5x15Steel WheelsFull size spare is a few years older.
The Jeep comes with a tow bar that can be easily connected if you do not have a trailer or want to pull it behind an RV.

There are a thousand more details that I am missing. I built most of this Jeep myself and love the way it turned out. With that being said...I am not a professional auto mechanic, and recommend the buyer have the Jeep safety inspected by a professional.
