For sale is my 1984 AMC Jeep CJ -7. This Jeep is in excellent condition; it’s a real head turner driving around town. The engine is an AMC 360 and has approximately 35,000 miles on it; it runs like a dream and sounds even better with the dual Flow Master Rear exhaust. The speedometer currently shows 148,474 miles. I have made many improvements to it since I’ve owned it. We only drive it on nice days around town, other than that it stays on our garage. We put about 200 to 500 miles on it a year. It has not been taken off road or abused in any way, all components work, even the speedometer reads correct, something I took a lot of time researching until I finally got it right. Below is the list of everything this Jeep comes with.
Warn Ti9500lb winch, there is also a High Lift Jack on the front bumper. The headlights are the new KC type. Under the hood is a AMC 360 V8 engine, aluminum radiator, Mean Green high output alternator, Tuffy storage lock box, and Red Top battery. The Transmission is a T176 4 speed (The transmission was rebuilt less than 1000 miles ago and I also replaced the clutch in the process). Dana 300 Axles, Superlift dual steering stabilizer. The brakes are disk in front and drum in the back. The engine has absolutely no problem pushing the 35 inch tires, in fact, this is a very fast and powerful Jeep.
The tires are 35 inch BFG Mud Terrain KM2s mounted on 18 inch Mamba wheels; plenty of tread life on the tires. The 4x4 works great, the front lockers are Superwinch. Inside, the seats front and back have neoprene covers, the entire interior floor is coated with a tuff liner like protectant. All knobs are stainless steel type. The air conditioner and heater both work great, as do all the gauges and lights. I updated the air conditioner in 2013 to a R134 system…it had a R12 system before that. The stereo is a Sony with XM Radio, it has an aux input and a USB input so you can connect your IPod or phone. I mounted Pioneer speakers on the roll bar and they sound great. The center counsel is the Tuffy lock box type, and has a CB radio installed. There is also a Tuffy storage box under the back seat. I added front roll bars that offer more protection for the front passengers and has grab handles on both sides, made by Rock Hard 4x4. There are other options that came with the front roll bar that I did not install, but will come with the Jeep in case you would like to add them. I also added a three station 12 volt outlet and a red/white interior light up front.
This Jeep has many options as far as tops go. It comes with both full and half doors. Both doors have chrome mirrors, the Jeep also comes with a second set of rear view mirrors that can be used when the doors are off, those are what I have mounted in the pictures with the half doors. It has two bikini tops, one is the older type, one is a new strapless type that works now since I added the front roll bars. The hard top and full doors are tinted all the way around. This Jeep also comes with a protection cover for when you have the top off.
On the back is a full size spare and bumper with a hitch. The Jeep is wired for towing a trailer.
