1985 Jeep CJ Additional Info:

Up for auction is my 1985 Jeep CJ-7.

  • 4.2L 258 ci 6 Cylinder / Weber 38 DGES Carb / HEI Distributor (Runs Strong)

  • Tremec T176 (4 speed transmission)

  • Dana 300 transfer Case

  • AMC 20 rear axle / Dana 30 front axle (2.73 gears)

  • 35” Nitto Trail Grapplers on Quadratec Aluminum 16 x 8’s (Factory Satin Black)

  • 4” Skyjacker Lift With Military Wrap Springs & Shocks

  • 133,749 Original Miles

Key Points:

  • I’ve owned this CJ since 06/2015 and it’s only been driven in the summer or on nice days.

  • I’ve always garage kept and never driven it in the rain, salt or snow.

  • Previously, it’s only lived in Texas or southern Virginia until I purchased it.

  • 100% solid frame with no rust at all.

  • Lots of newer parts & it Jeep also comes with a large amount of brand new parts as well.

  • It runs, shifts and drives great having been regularly driven over the last 2 summers.

  • Engine runs very strong, starts easily and gets good MPG (could be leaned out for better MPG).

  • Clutch has about 50% life left.

  • 4 wheel drive works great.

  • This Jeep gets 18 MPG @ 70 MPH on the highway turning 1835 RPM in 4th gear.

  • I recently purchased a hardtop and doors to sell with the Jeep since it’s the winter.

  • The tub previously had a tiny amount of rust on the lower rockers / interior wheel wells which I ground down to clean metal, sealed with rust converter and painted. Side plates have been added as well.

  • All original floor pans. There is only one small patch that was added by a previous owner. (See photos).

  • Oil changed every 3,000 miles.

  • All emissions equipment & water heated intake plumbing have been removed and plugged.

  • The only reason I’m selling the Jeep is because I have another CJ-7 I’m currently building.

  • Clean and clear title in hand.

  • More pictures are available if needed.
