1986 Jeep CJ Base Sport Utility 2-Door Additional Info:

You've always wanted a Jeep, and this 1986 Jeep CJ7 Laredo is just right for the guy (or girl) who wants to have a pretty civilized machine to drive every day, but that can also play in the dirt with the best of them. Great colors, a recently rebuilt engine, and plenty of dirt cred make this Laredo a keeper. If there's one thing we've learned in the past few years, it's that CJ7s are red hot in the market. They're not on everyone's radar, but we sell every single CJ7 we can get our hands on, and I would expect this one to be no different. The bright blue paint is in excellent condition, repainted in 2014 when the original owner passed it down to his son. But that isn't to say it doesn't look authentic, because in addition to the high-gloss finish, there are correct silver stripes and 'LAREDO' decals on the sides of the hood, all of which take you right back to the funky, fun-loving '80s. Big black rubber fender flares give the CJ a wide-shouldered look and helps cover the large-by-huge tires underneath and for off-roading, and the lifted stance certainly looks serous. Nice chrome bumpers, a shiny grille, and those funky asymmetrical Jeep mirrors add to the visual fun. Out back there's a full-sized spare, just in case. The black interior is also fairly new and in very good condition, showing virtually no wear. The seat covers are reproductions of the originals and look great and like many of its siblings, this CJ has floors covered with spray-on bedliner material, so it's durable and easy to maintain, and a pair of rubber floor mats add a bit of civility. There's a locking center console for a bit of security in the open-topped Jeep, and an AM/FM/iPod stereo system from Custom Sound means that you can drive this Jeep every day without complaint. A floor-shifted 5-speed manual transmission is joined by the lever for the 2-speed transfer case and the sporty leather-wrapped steering wheel is a welcome bit of luxury. The back seat was upholstered to match, so bring your friends, and there's even a bit of carbo space out back. The most popular engine in these Jeeps was the legendary 258 cubic inch inline-six. Dating back decades means that it's totally sorted and remains the best way to go places nobody else has gone. It was recently rebuilt to factory specs and the engine bay was highly detailed at the same time so it looks almost new. Power steering and brakes are another bonus that helps with both daily driving and off-roading, with new wiring, hoses, belts, and other parts, it'll get you anywhere you're hoping to go. The 5-speed manual transmission is a recent addition and all the 4-wheel-drive hardware is in good order and it's surprisingly civil on the street, rolling with a pleasant six-cylinder burble from the single tailpipe. It's beautifully underneath, so nice you might not want to get it dirty, and includes new springs, shocks, and other hardware that gives it that great stance. Flashy chrome wheels are a very sporty look and carry giant 32x11.50-15 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A radials. This is one of those Jeeps that does everything well, and as a CJ7, it's at the very top of the desirability chart. Have a look at the truck, then the price, and you'll see that this is one heck of a bargain. Call today!
