This XJS was purchased by my father 2/7/2004 with46,500 miles,from Harry Kaufmann motors in Milwaukee for $18,998. At that time he had a front and rear cat replaced plus plug /wires, shocks,and distributor. then 500 mile later an alignment. At 47,270 he had Differential pinion seal,crankcase sandwich plate gasket, oil cooler hoses,front crank oil seal,thermostat,steering gear, and transmission mount.then at 47,945 the brakesfluid was flushed and parking cable adjusted.Plus usual service work.
The Xjs is a thing of beauty--well done with well made fittings and controls. the AC was charged lately and blows cold.He has mounted a bypass toggle switch for top operation as it seems the parking brake indicator light on dispay stays on and prevents the top from operating. This car is real low and long. When you drive it you can feel the V-12 torque pull good even tho this is not a light car. Jaguar has made a true sports car-that is a treat to look at with performance. Mileage is accurate and just emissions and registration on title history. carfax is clean. Couple of small scratches all in 1 small area at lower rear-see pics. under side is rust free. Paint looks original--always garaged and covered.
