1974 Jaguar XJ12L Delux Additional Info:

On offer, my very special 1974 Jaguar XJ12L sedan. The power and smoothness of a V-12 powered car of ANY kind is amazeing! A Jaguar V-12 is legendary for their incredibility smooth powerful turbine like performance. It is a reputation that is well deserved!
Jaguar made automotive history when they introduced the XJ12L series sedan. Twelve cylinder cars had always been expensive, rare, exclusive, and well out of the reach of "normal" folk. These sleek powerful machines were mostly hand built, super exclusive and limited in production.
The automotive world was stunned, (and this "exclusivity" was swept away) when Jaguar began production of their now legendary 5.3L V-12 motor. By installing this revolutionary power plant into their XKE and XJ sedan models they produced cars that (while not "Cheap" in price) were within the reach of the upper middle class buyer. Then as now these cars are for that very special person who demands the best in style, performance, and luxury. My XJ-12L is just such a car...
Starting with a solid, low mileage (74K), 100% Rust and damage free, Southern California sourced car, it was "Gone through" from Front to back. During this process everything that required service, adjustment, or showed the least bit of wear was taken care of. This work included (but was not limited to) the following, New tires, stainless steel exhaust system, ball joints, shock absorb-rs (premium gas), rubber mounts, hangers etc. New trunk (Boot) carpet trim, Fuel Pumps, New Leather upholstery (Palomino color leather), premium factory carpeting, and under padding, new carpeted floor mats, stereo system, speakers, battery, rebuilt carburetors, hoses, air cleaners, all fluids and filters changed and much much more! In short it looks and drives beautifully.
These are the things that still need to be done to complete a full refurbishment of the car, The paint (Sable color) is the original paint the car left the factory with. The Southern California sun has caused it to be crazed and clear checked, fortunately the door jams, and trunk surround are still in as new condition and will not require repainting. The same California Sun has caused the rubber gaskets surrounding both the front and rear windows to dry and harden and should be replaced when the car is sprayed. The Chrome and all remaining trim is in like new condition.
