1965 Jaguar E-Type COUPE ORIGINAL UNRESTORED SURVIVOR Additional Info:

***CAR CAN BE SEEN IN SCOTTSDALE DURING AUCTION WEEK. CALL 201-213-2681 Early 1965 4.2 E-Type Coupe Survivor. This car was delivered X-Factory to US Army Doctor Captain Kurt Weineke stationed in Germany. I spoke to him confirming everything stated. He drove the car from the factory to Germany where he spent much time on enthusiastic triple digit jaunts being utterly fascinated with the car. His friend and Army mate, James Lee Stuber was an Army Mechanic and maintained the car for the Doctor. I spoke to him as well. Stuber, also fascinated by the car decided to buy one for himself. When he found out that the export/import tax to the US was so much higher on a new car as opposed to a used car, he asked Weineke if he would sell him his since he was staying in Germany, he could buy another new one. They agreed. Stuber imported the car to the US 1/3/66 with the Iowa Title referencing the German Title. Original Title Included in the sale. Stuber kept the car from 1966 to 2009 when he sold it to a collector in Arizona who swore he would never sell it. I acquired the car in 2012 and it has remained with me just a few miles from where I picked it up. Survivor... Barn find... What's the difference? What's all the hype? A Barn Find is a car that was put away wet, dry or all of the above, hasn't run in decades and could need anything from a mechanical re-fresh to a full on restoration sacrificing the originality. A Survivor is a car that was loved, always maintained as a running and driving automobile and never left to atrophy. Needs were attended to in order to keep it in its Original Form. This car is an "Actual Mileage" Title, Unrestored Survivor. It has its incredible Original Paint, Dated Glass all around, Original Leather Interior, Original Carpets, Matching Original Seat Belts, Matching Numbers, Motor Never Out Of The Car, Working Radio, Original Dunlop Spare with signs of Cosmoline on the wheel, Rare Original Aeramic Wiper Blades most threw away because it takes the dexterity of a surgeon to change the rubber, Original Shocks, Original Floor pans, Jack, tool Kit and Owners Manual with Pouch. **Being an early '65, it has the curly hub wire wheels and leather shift boot. In gorgeous Opalescent Silver Grey with Dark Blue interior, this car turns the time clock back to 1965 with unmatched Originality, Style and Grace. ***This car retains it's Original Data Plate and Chassis Tag. It pains me to see reproduction serial number tags on the majority of restored cars due to their looking tattered. It's not only a crime but, a destruction of the cars Birth Certificate. Obviously, this one is not only the one the car was born with but also, never off the car. With 60 Pound of oils pressure, be the next caretaker, maintainer and driver of this timeless beauty. Still Fast and Furious after all these years.
