1994 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas Additional Info:

Classic vintage Sir William Lyons Jaguar XJ40 / XJ6 Vanden Plas in very good to excellent condition. Low miles: 67.5K
Few dings and minor scratches--normal stuff; one dent under the rear bumper on the small lower panel.
1994 is the first XJ model year built with input from Ford Lincoln Motor Co., the last XJ built with design input from Jaguar's co-founder Sir Williams Lyons; the first Jaguar with airbags (and the only XJ40 with airbags); the last and most reliable XJ40 model year ever built, according to Car and Driver. Lincoln Motor Co. addressed common XJ40 issues, such as door handle malfunctions.
The car appears in a forthcoming Happy Madison feature film (2017).
I love driving this car. Drives great . . . The interior, like the exterior, is near perfect, looks great . . .
  • The plastic faux wood face of the ashtray (center console), and that of the upper sunroof/reading light console, are cracked - I keep the ashtray lid in the open position, and try to not to look at the upper console.
  • The interior headliner should be replaced--it's clean but sags above the back seat (I've temporarily stapled to keep from sagging--looks fine; fix = <$600).
  • Tires are Pirelli, on their way out, maybe 3-5K miles left.
  • 'Refrigeration' system works on high setting only, needs attention.
  • There's a slight rattling noise coming from the left front quarter on bumps, can't locate source--needs a professional evaluation, I think non-vital hardware is loose and needs to be tightened or secured.
This car is *almost* a showpiece, even without a paint job--which is original--as well as a convenient every day car. All hoses and belts replaced this year. The car has been inspected from tip to tail, everything looks good--brakes, transmission, etc. Smog good in CA through early 2017.
OEM chrome wheels with black 21-spoke inlays are rare, and basically in 'like-new' condition. CD changer in the large trunk--almost twice the capacity of 1995-2006 XJ models.
I've loved this car a lot . . . a rare iconic Jaguar, the color is Jade Green Metallic--a silver blue green hazel. Those stylish square 'crystal' headlamps . . .
