In 1967, aguar re-released the Mk 2 Saloon as a 240 or 340 (shown here) to fill a 12-month gap in the line before the brand new XJ6 was available. A quick and capable saloon car, he model is sleek and comfortable and features updates and styling improvements over the Mk 1 saloons last released over 8 years prior.

The 340 model featured Jaguars proven XK 3.4L inline 6 with a claimed 210bhp. Suspension adjustments were made to improve comfort and handling and, y 1967, our-wheel disc brakes were now standard. This car has the standard 4-speed manual gearbox; though an overdrive or automatic was available for extra cost.

Chassis # 181080 has seen only 52,000 miles in her 48 years and 5 owners since new. Extremely well cared for and documented, he is still an excellent driver with recent restoration of the interior and paint.

Purchased new in NY in 1968, he 340 had accumulated 28,750 miles when she found a home in Memphis in 1971. By 1976, nd with her 3rd owner, ileage had reached almost 51,000 before moving to Texas. The final two owners drove this beautiful car infrequently and focused on preservation.

With original dealer documents, ools, mpressive service records and a photographically documented repaint on a "rust and bondo free car" (most recent owner), his vehicle represents a high standard of originality and low mileage and sitsawaiting your inspection!
