----------
The Impulse is rare, as it was produced in very low numbers, totaling around 13,000 units throughout all model years (1980-90) . It is said that only 2,300 registered units were known in 2010. A collector’s item just by those numbers.
The Isuzu Impulse is considered today to be one of the rarest 80's era automobiles. It was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, namedCar Designer of the Centuryin 1999 and inducted into theAutomotive Hall of Famein 2002. He has anamazing resume of work, including the BMW M1, the Ferrari 250 GT, the De Tomaso Mangusta, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT, the DMC DeLorean and the Lotus Esprit S1. His accomplishments in design are enormous and one would do well to research them.
The clean wedge shape of the Impulse is largely unadorned, with flush glass and cleverly hidden seams. The hood wraps around atop the fenders and helps form a body-length character line; the A-pillar is rendered invisible by the leading edge of the full-framed door.
Inside, the instrument cluster adjusted with the steering column, and featured a pair of pods, located within fingers’ reach from the steering wheel, that incorporated lights, wipers, and more.
The Impulse was marketed as "everything standard’ (SE), meaning that they all came with all available equipment for the vehicle's model year. These include air conditioning, power windows and door locks, four-wheel disc brakes, and (14x6) “waffle” alloy wheels.Additional equipment includes pop-up headlamps, cloth upholstery, an AM/FM/Cassette radio with 7-band analog equalizer, cruise control, and more.
The only option was a choice of manual or automatic transmission.

This example is a two-owner California car and comes in its beautiful original condition.
Included are meticulous records throughout the life of the car, with each receipt found in individual acetate sleeves in a binder. Also included are the original Owner’s Manuals / Promotional Materials and a Workshop Manual. It even includes the written Bill of Sale from first to second owner sale.
The car was unused as it was parked so long that the battery died. From then on, it became buried within its garage. As the car has been stored since 1991, it can be assumed that there will be a few maintenance issues to deal with before driving it to your favorite spot. The motor was started in 2010, but has not run, since.
The body has a couple of minor dings and shows rust only at the rear window at the wiper arm. Also, it appears to have had a respray around the front right, although no apparent accident damage. On a couple of small areas (top of door, rear bumper), the cler coat could use soe touch-up.
The interior is in its beautiful original condition, with the only apparent problem being a sagging headliner.
Also, the aftermarket tinting has failed and needs either removal or replacement.
----------
The vehicle’s registration expired in February of 1992 and has not been on the road, since. It can be assumed that its registration is 'out of the system' so, the car is being sold As-Is, with a Bill of Sale.
I am selling because I just don't have the time to put towards enjoying it.
