1979 International Harvester Scout Additional Info:

I've had this Scout garaged for over a year and thus far have not been able to get to it and I need the space it's occupying. So, it's that time..And yes it needs some work, if it didn't then it would be 30,000. The windshield frame simply bolts in no welding required, it's one piece; the windshield frame, A pillars, front cowl. I located a place that has them rust free for 350 dollars, in fact they have every part needed reasonably priced. The driver door should be fine, the passenger side would best be replaced. Again, same parts provider would supply entire door components, clean not rusted. Speaking of rust, the vehicle has some on the rocker panels and a spot on both driver and passenger floor corners, a bit on a wheel arch, typical scout patterns. The underside is still in good condition. It's NOT a rust bucket, see the underside pictures. This was a running car until it turned over, frankly I would rather have this than an impact from a collision. And it does start right up. Take note of the engine images. I didn't clean or even wipe it. That is how it arrived. There is bit of a tapping I believe to be a lifter. You can start and will run. Note the condition of the engine parts they're really well preserved for a 40 year old Scout.Lots of options including a 345 engine, automatic transmission, 4wd, bucket seats, tilt steering, factory air conditioning, chrome rims, delux interior. It is a project but will make a nicely equipped Scout. And the original color is light gray as indicated on the interior rear panels. And, I have the gas cap..
