1937 GMC T-14 1/2 ton Pick Up Truck **Original**

1937 GMC Other Additional Info:

This is a very rare truck. Seldom will you see an original 1937 GMC truc, in any condition, offered for sale! I've owned and driven this truck since I brought it over from Washington State 2010. I no longer have room for this truck so it's time to let it go.Speedometer (working) shows 58514 miles, no idea if this is actual miles. All gauges work, lights wor, 6 volt electrical system in good condition.Crank out windshield and cowl vent - both in good working order.Tube type bias tires have plenty of miles left on them.Vacuum type windshield wiper works, but slowly.Correct 230 ci flat head Olds engine runs well, no leaks.Radiator is good as well as the water pump.New ignition points & condenser, new coil, generator charges correctly.Rebuilt original Zenith carburetor.New electric fuel pump and fuel filter.3 Speed manual transmission is compound low, 2nd,3rd and reverse. Clutch and drive line works as it should.Foot actuated starter works properly.6 Volt negative ground Battery working well.
Brakes are good, no leaks, no pulling left or right stops as it should.
Suspension and steering are in good condition, no wandering, or slack in the steering, runs straight down the road.No rear bumper ( they were optional in 1937)Interior in good condition has carpet and foam rubber padding. Seat in good condition. Headliner could be replaced (see pictures).Choke and throttle knobs work, instrument lights work .Dimmer switch has a short ( I have new replacement). Glass is good, no cracks, windows roll up and down as they should, some de-lamination around edges of rear window. Windshield like ne, hand cranks outward to provide fresh air in the cab, combined with air from the cowl vent makes driving comfortable. No heater in this truck. Door handles and window cranks all work properly,doors lock.The truck has a correct newer after market steel bed with proper GMC raised lettering on tail gate.Pine wood bed boards have deteriorated and need replacement.(see photos)Paint is two tone gree, showing a nice patina. Not correct original color, but close. Rear fenders have surface rust, and have not been painted.Truck bed has primer, wearing thin.
There is rust on door skin bottoms, (replacement panels are available) Door frame bottoms are in good condition.Rust thru in parts of cab at bottom and rear of cab. (see pictures)Rust thru on passenger side front fender (see pictures)I have an original repair manual, a Jim Carter Trucks parts catalog ( carrying many replacement parts), & some spare parts I received when I bought the truck.
