1929 Ford Model A Pick up Additional Info:

Up for auction is this '29 Ford Roadster Pickup. I consider this to be a 'traditional' hot rod, not a rat rod. The truck has a 85 hp flathead V-8. The ultimate in nostalgia. I am not sure what yr. the engine is, but appears to be early 50's. Any help to identify would be appreciated. The engine starts up effortlessly at the slightest touch of the starter. The truck runs smooth and cool. It has two temperature gauges, one for each side of the motor. It runs at 160 degrees. The 3 sp. on the floor manual tranny shifts real nice and not synchroed in low gear. The engine is not at all loud, however could be if you were to hook up the 'lake' pipes. It handles and turns quick like a go-cart. It is very fun to drive and always gets attention when out 'cruisin'. Smiles and thumbs up always! The radiator shell is all steel '32' Ford. The frame of the truck is '34 Chevy with a 100% solid frame. It has a new windshield frame and glass. The tires are bias-ply and look like new. The doors open & shut tight. It has a nice working tailgate. The box sides are nice. The lights work, however only on bright??? The turn signals and brake lights work. The truck is equipped with a 3 deuce Edlebrock carbs ($500 each) along with Edlebrock intake($1000.) The truck has a new 8 gal. aluminum gas tank mounted in thebox. It has a newelectric fuel pump and regulator. The body and floor pans are solid. The brakes are excellent. The steering is tight. This is a very dependable, good running, stopping & handling little hot rod that you can take out and drive the minute you get it home. It really has the 'look' people are after.
