1991 Ford Mustang LX Additional Info:

From the previous owner:

*Included photo of car in red is how I purchased the car and before any personal modifications. Car was originally painted in red plasticoat. Removal of this plasticoat, prior to taking to paint shop, was a huge pain in the rear.*

1991 Mustang LX Notchback 5.0, 5 speed manual transmission.

Engine is a 1991 stock block bored out to a 306 with all ford racing part upgrades. I have all the paper work for the engine build and parts. For example... upper and lower Cobra intake. B303 for racing cam, 1.7 cobra roller rockers, GT-40X aluminum heads, 1-5/8 BBK headers, cold air intake, flowmaster muffler with offroad H-Pipe and Eibach sport springs and 3:31gears with strut tower brace and caster/camber plates. Plus brand new radiator fan and king cobra clutch with clutch cable.

Car also has 5-lug conversion kit.

Engine has about 6,500mi on it since the rebuild and body has an unknown amount of miles.

I also had Steeda sub frame connectors installed.

Car runs great and strong.

Cold A/C with no known leaks or issues.

Front seats are out of a 1995 Mustang. Only driver's seat is power.

Obviously this is not a new car and is sold as is, where is, with no warrantees.

Currently the odometer lists around 87,000 miles but unknown if that's accurate.

I have added approximately 4000 miles to the vehicle since purchase. That brings the mileage on the engine up to around 11,000.

This was originally purchasedas mytoy but my 15 year old son needs a car (I'm not giving a car with this much power to a first time driver). This is the only reason I am selling.

After my purchase of the vehicle:

Didn't want a red car. Certainly didn't want one with a flat red plasticoat paint job. After stripping off the plasticoat, it was off to the paint shop. $6000.00 later, the panels are straighter that from the factory. Beautiful paint job however; they wanted another $2000.00 to paint the jams under the hood and trunk lid. As you can see in the under-hood photo, the jams are still red. Painting the engine compartment black would have entailed removing the engine and more cash. The red isnot visible with the hood and trunk lids shut. I had the mounting holes for the emblems welded up so that the car would have a more clean look. As you can see in the photos, it no longer has the 5.0 emblems, trunk Ford emblem, or LX emblem.

I've replaced the cruise control computer with another used one however; the cruise control still does not function.

Added new American Muscle Bullitt Rims w/locking lugs and chrome valves.

Addedfour newSumitomo HTR45Z 245/45Z R17 nitrogen filled tires.

Added Steeda rear upper and lower control arms.

Added Tokico gas rear shocks.

Added Tokico front struts.

Added Tokicofront and rear coil springs (springs it came with lowered therearcausingtire rubbing with the 275 tires).

Included are the original rims and tires that appear on the car when it was red (condition when I purchased it from the previous owner). The rear tires (on the car when it was red)were 275 width as apposed to the current 245 width tires. The front tires from the red car(245 width)have about 30% tread left where the rear tires look to be fairly new with approximately 90% tread left.

A/C still blows cold air with no known leaks or issues.

Obviously this is not a new car and is sold as is, where is, with no warrantees.
