This is a 1978 Ford Ranchero GT. This is a 100% rust free California car since new. The car runs and drives extremely well. The 351 c.i. enginesounds very healthy/very powerfuland idles superbly. The transmission shifts right on time without any slipping or lurching. The brakes, steering and suspension are in good working order. Brakes, feel good but one of the wheel cylinders may be leaking.Mechanically the car is sound. As with any 30+ year old unrestored car there can always be repairs needed (gaskets, seals, rubber items, etc) things that can get dry and crack after a long period of time, so by no means wouldwe represent the car as needing nothing.Knowing that, the new owner will find this car to be in good working order. The car does not over heat or smoke. We cannot verify the odometer reading as actual or provide theoriginal miles of the car due to the age and 5 digit odometer. The car has glass packs so has a nice throaty sounding exhaust.

The only obvious things we observed and testedarethe climate control wasn't working, perhaps a blower, fuse or ??? The car does have factory a/c, no belt on a/c compressor.

Cosmetically the car looks great and is largely original.The paint appears tobe original, but cannot we cannot make any guarantees.The car still has a nice lusterand lovely patina. The body does not have any significant dentsand is actually quite nice! There is a minor dent below the passenger side door (seepictures). The car does not appear to have been in any accidents and the entire drivetrain is solid and tight. The car has nice chrome and excellent body lines. All of the gaps and body panel fitment is good. The bed is in good shape but it was painted an odd shade that does not match. Decals and other details on the car have been well preserved. Nice chrome.

The interior is in good original condition. The seat has been recovered once before and has some minor imperfections. The dash is excellent has some typical cracks. There are some other various imperfection on the interior but overall it looks good. The steering wheel still works but the wood is falling apart.

-Nice original door panels (some upholstery damage)and headliner.The carpet is decent.

This is an interestingturn key California classic that is 100% rust free and should serve the new owner well if he or she is willing to give it the time and attention is deserves. This car has quite a bit of money due to the California DMV therefore it will only be available to out of state or country buyers only. All other bids will be cancelled.
