1962 Ford Galaxie 500 – Saloon Racer. New and faithfully built to production based FIA European rACING Sedan Series of the early 1960’s.

The authentic big block Galaxie 500 (build VR#0004) is a one of a kind vehicle with a keen focus on vintage style, appearance and performance. VR#004is the way they were built back in the day when two foot stops and power slides got you around famous European circuits.

Built using a reference to a 1962 FIA Rule Book, the vehicle features a completely fresh Ford 390 & Ford auto-trans with period correct bolt on speed equipment –Holley, Edelbrock, Kelsey Hayes, Hurst, Hooker, Kirkey & Cooper. New top to bottom custom build, including all-steel body modifications, track suspension/ geometry, minimalist interior, drive train, full 10 point safety cage and overall styling using era correct modifications. Vintage inspired hand polished paint, hand painted lettering and era competition graphics. All original chrome, bright-work and patina remains where possible, to exude a 50 year old barn find. The Galaxie is designed to drive to local car shows, yet delivers performance to be taken to open track days - Willow Springs, Buttonwillow, Cal Speedway, Las Vegas & Chuckwalla.

VR#004is serial numbered using numbered build plates and registered to new owner as an inaugural member of new vintage racer car club that will tour car shows and track days as gentlemen racers in the Southwest and California.
