1964 Ford Falcon Additional Info:

Time to sell my Ranchero I have owned for 24 years, originally an Oregon car brought up to BC in 1992. It is an original 66B Deluxe model Rangoon Red car but I chose 1965 Ford Candyapple Red when I had it repainted in 1993. Original toploader 4 speed car with 3.25 rear axle ratio non posi.
The engine and transmission were rebuilt about the same time the car was painted. Originally this car had a 260 however when I got the car, it already had the current6 bolt bellhousing289. Engine was rebuiltwith stock heads, mild performance cam with a slight lope at idle, stock A code 289 cast iron intake with a Holley 600, headers and dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. It has approximately 15,000 miles on the overhauled engine and transmission.

Very straight car, never been hit or damaged. All original body panels and glass including rare tinted windshield that is tinted green throughout, not just a band at the top. This car was virtually rust free when I brought it from Oregon to British Columbia in the early 1990s. The car has never been undercoated and I have never painted the underneath of it. There is surface rust on some of the sheetmetal underneath. There are fourspots where rust bubbles have developed. RH Front fender near grille, driver's door bottom front corner about the size of a nickel, RH rear wheel opening in front of tire, LH rear wheel opening behind tire. This is a driver quality car that presents well but could benefit from repair of these areas eventually, or a new home back in a dry climate. Carpet was replaced in the 90s but the area around the shifter hump isn't as dark a black anymore as it once was. Upholstery is presentable but there is some damage from a mouse that got in during storage a few winters ago. The passenger side seatback suffered the most, but is not evident unless the door is opened. Fuel gauge and speedometer are in working condition but the original temperature gauge and radio do not work. There is a mechanical temperature gauge under the dash. Shifter is stock Ford linkage however I once had a borrowed Hurst unit in the car and must admit that the Hurst unit really improves the action of the shift linkages.

These factory V8 4 speed Falcons are quite rare. Apparently less than 4% of total production had the 4 speed. I have heard reports of production numbers less than 300V8 4 spd Rancheros in '64, but who knows? Many have been made up over the years by converting 6 cylinder automatic cars, but here is your chance to get an original one with all the right parts, and onethat has had an easy life.

I am willing to store the car for a few weeks free of charge at close of auction to allow the buyer to make shipping or travel arrangements should they desire to make a road trip to pick up the car.

There is no reserve price.

Bringing the car back into the United States is very easy because of its age, they will need these two forms filled out:

U.S. Customs EPA Form 3520-1, essentially stating that the car was more than 25 years old so exempt from emissions, and the DOT HS-7 Declaration Form stating the car was made in the USA, and not subject to Duty.
