Owned and pampered by the same owner for over 50 years, and located here in Dallas, this beautiful 57 packed with a 312 cubic inch V8 as a factory standard, this little sports car is a win-win in anyone's book. Some special models even came equipped from the factory with a hefty McCulloch supercharger which pumped this Ford up to an astounding 300 to 340 horsepower! This is the engine that would allow Ford to dominate NASCAR. This '57 Thunderbird sports the lovely sounding 312 CID V8, topped with the ever-so beautiful finned Thunderbird valve covers and breathing through a Holley 4 barrel carburetor. Putting out 245 horsepower, this little roadster is no cruiser. Backed by a Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission, this Ford Thunderbird is a pleasure to run through the gears. Add in power steering and you have yourself one easy driving classic sports car. The exterior is a desirable shade of white, with matching hard top. The grill, hood scoop, and FoMoCo portholes give this car a sleek look that compliments all the curves of the car. The restored interior is in good condition showing some age, with gorgeous white and black colonial vinyl interior. The baby bird has been treated to a repaint of it's original color about 15 years ago. It was stripped downto bare metal and done professionally by a local well know restorer at the time Richard Crump.
This car has been meticulously maintained by it's current owner who is the 2nd owner. We have a very large Ford dealer here in Dallas who has an extensive car collection. His mechanic has personally worked on this Thunderbird. It runs extremely well and never over heats on the hottest days in our Texas summers.
The only wear on the interior is this small area on the drivers arm rest. The car does have a replacement dash and seat covers.
The car does not have 287 miles on it, that is the odometer reading and of course it is 100287.
