Survivor Unrestored !!1969 Mustang Mach 1R-code 428 Cobra Jet"They're only original once"
This "Survivor" 1969 Mach 1 has been maintained for the last 47 years, is unrestored, and Rust Free. This Mach1 waspurchased new at Toccoa Ford in Toccoa, Georgia. This car was ordered with thefollowing options: beautiful Candy Apple Red paint, Red Mach1 Hi-Back Bucket Seats, C6 Automatic Transmission, R-code 428 4v Cobra Jet Ram Air (Shaker Hood), Black-out Hood Treatment, 3.50 rear gear ratio, Raised White Letter Tires, Power Steering, Tinted Glass, Tachometer, Trip Odometer, and AM Radio (but was upgraded to a original AM/FM). The original paint still shines beautifully but does have minor imperfections from age/use (I will be glad to send closeup pics of the minor imperfections). The original red interior is still in excellent condition and is free from tears (carpet does have some discolored areas from age). The body is rust free! The undercarriage is still original and in great condition (with correct overspray and paint markings). This car drives like a new car. The motor, transmission, and rear differential are new inside but the original patina wasleft on the outside to keep the correct look with the car. This was done so the car could be driven and enjoyed with no worries of mechanical failures. The motor is balanced, has the correct 1UB crank, and went back standard. The heads have new guides, seals, springs and stainless valves (with 3 angle valve job). The motor does have a custom cam and sounds like a "Muscle Car" should. The 9 inch rear was a conventional 3.50 from the factory (one wheel spinning) but was converted to a traction lockusing the original 3.50 ring gear, original 31 spline axles (with new bearings), and the original nodular (N-case) 3rd member with pinion snubber (again the original patina was left on the exterior). The power brakes work beautifully and are in new condition. The power steering is tight and the car handles excellent. The motor is strong and the correct (R-servo and cast iron tail section) C6 transmission shifts smooth. I would not be afraid to drive this car across the country (its mechanically sound). This was a local car and sat in a garage from 1974 until 2004. When the car was found in 2004 it had vintage Keystone Mags, so New Magnum 500's wheels were purchased. The car currently has 87,000 original miles. Don't miss this opportunity to own this Unrestored Original Cobra Jet 1969 Mach1 (they are onlyoriginal once!). If you walked into a Ford dealership in 1969 and picked up a dealer brochure for the 1969 model year this exact car is on the cover.
