Boy do I have a gem here. I bought this truck as I had a lot of interest in restoring one.. This truck lived most of its life in northern Ga via Oklahoma where I bought it from. The pictures will tell most of the story.The body is very solid with no rust holes period. Infact it has hardly any dents in it either. When I went out looking for a mid seventies Ford truck it had to be rust free as replacing panels and welding all kinds of patches is very time consuming and time is money. This is the very best model to restore. Its a short bed, has all the XLT mouldings on it, has power steering and power brakes, It also came thru with factory air which did work when I got it pretty near 3 years ago. I had the AC evacuated nearly 3 years ago because I had plans on removing all the sheet metal up front to clean and paint.I have done much work on the mechancial end to get this truck up to perfect depenable running condition which I shell list a few of the major ones, New Radiator HD, hoses, All new brakes, pads, Master cylinder, power booster, starter, filters,Battery, Altiinator, complete distribtor, New timeing gears and chain, I sandblasted the rims and painted them and had new white lettered tires installed, Also removed the oil pan cleaned it spotless inside and out and painted it and reinstalled it... Also had a new tinted windshield install with new rubber and all new chrome and corner pieces installe, new shocks all around.. As can be seen I didnt miss much on the Mech end and I know there is much more,.I have all receipts.This truck is now very depenable and could be drivin anywhere even across county. It drives like a new one, Even the interior is very usable, it could use a new carpet set thou but good as is. I have put a new remote control radio with CD player in it but have the original which still played and will go with the truck.So anyway if you have been looking for a nice solid Ford Pickup to restore this is the one shortbed XLTs are the ones worth the most when restored. Its all here and has not been abused, I have been taken it to car shows for the last year or more and this truck gets more looks than many of the other cars at the meets.My reserve is much less than I have in this gem so my lost is your gain. I had great plans but I have just to many projects in front of it and at 76 years old it just isnt going to happen.
