1973 Ford Mustang Additional Info:

1973 Loaded Q Code Mustang Convertible with the Cobra Jet Engine.99% Unrestored Original Paint with 83K Original Miles. Original Owner Wanted a Mach I Convertible. This explains all the Options to resemble a Mach 1 Convertible checked on the option sheet. Those "Mach I" options are Q code, Side stripe, Instrumentation Group, Raised White Letter Tires, Forged Aluminum Wheels, Console, Decor Group, Colored Keyed Racing Mirrors, Tu tone Hood Paint with twist locks and Competition Suspension. Rare to find a real one as almost all you see are fakes. Also Options for extra luxury include Power Windows, Top and Steering. Marti Report lists 18 options. Body is extremely clean except very little rust which isn't hidden by a new paint job like most cars. The worst part is pictured. This area doesn't reflect the rest of the car. I prefer to leave it untouched and let it tell a story, but if repairing it is desired it should be done in the least invasive way. A small patch with airbrushing to match or paint all under the stripe as a second option. Underneath the metal is clean with just sheen of rust. Nice Floor Pans etc.. Car came with the tail light panel replaced, but everywhere else was untouched. I replaced the rear valance with OEM as my friend ran into it. Have the original. A nicer 99% IdenticalCar to this was for sale at a local Dealer for 49K recently and sold. It had two more options and allegedly no rust. The paint has held up very well and looks far better than a repainted car trying to look original. The All Original interior has stayed in excellent condition. This car could be used for other original restoration referencing. I love this car, but I don't have the time to enjoy it and am not comfortable driving a Time Capsule original paint car anyways. I still have the Original Key, Owners card/tag, The pink Purchase Receipt, a picture when it was new with tire chalk marks and more. I bought it from someone who flipped it to me from the Widow of the original Owner. They had it for 28 Years and I've had it 18 Years. Runs Great and I don't believe the engine has been apart. Car is tight, surely not like a 47 year old car. Top has been replaced. I believe everything work, but the clock.
