Here is a 1946 Ford Convertible all steel car with the 1947 hood and fenders for the custom and better look. This car was built with all the best and new parts with no short cuts. It is not the first car built in this shop as their as been over 50 street rods built here and many satisfied customers. Custom assembled in 2013 by master mechanic and vintage car collector Robert L. Crist. He built the car with special attention and detail for his lovely wife of over 50 years, Mary and named it “CAP” – Mary’s nickname since youth.

This is NOT just another “flip” or super-fix that was tweaked for quick resale. No way! This one’s the real deal!!

The ’46 was “Cap’s personal favorite out of several vintage Ford rods that the couple owns.

“Cap” won several awards through the mid-west with this baby, including Best of Show. Her collection of trophies and plaques says it all!!

Robert L. Crist is well known throughout the Illinois/Iowa area and his work is highly respected. He has worked on museum quality Corvettes and took no short cuts on this beauty.

This car has had the NSRA safety inspection and it starts runs drives and stops EXCELLENT The sound coming from the small block FORD through the stainless mufflers is awesome. It has been drove 1385 miles since built. Location is in the Quad City East Moline IL> area. Fly in Drive in Walk in And then hop in and drive it home.
