1972 Ford Other Additional Info:

Ford Other. If you have less than 15 feedback and want to bid, you must contact me first. If not, your bid will be retracted.Up for sale is a 1972 Ford Pinto deluxe wagon, built at the former Milpitas, Ca ford plant and delivered new to Towne ford in Redwood City, SF peninsula. Original owner had the car for many years and either passed away or could no longer drive due to health reasons I'm told. The car sat for many, many years until sold. The car was re-painted the original ford white about 7 years ago and pearl blue/red ghost flames were added(hard to see in photos), and mustang 10-hole aluminum 15" wheels with 50 series tires. Front seats were re-upholstered, all new carpeting, back seat still original and nice, several small tears in original headliner and fixable, door panels in nice shape. Dash and steering wheel have several cracks and reason for covers. Bumpers were powder coated, valve cover was chromed with added electronic ignition for that Cal custom look. Body is very solid with several small dings and a small crease. Frame is solid with surface rust only, solid floor pans etc; A small leak(seal), is coming from the rear of the trans casing in front of the drive-shaft and was told a common problem with these. Passenger door at the bottom(see photo), had two small rust holes that I patche, a so-so job but fine for the time being. Glass is all original and nice with factory rear pop-outs, motor is all stock but missing the timing belt cover and the air-cleaner hose. The car runs very well with no misses, shifts good with no grinding or pop-outs(gears), disc brakes work well, all lights and gauges work well, along with the heater and a decent stereo. Registration is current with a clean Calif. title good thru Feb. 2021. This is an easy and fun car to drive especially with the manual trans. Also included are (9) factory 13" steel wheels with several new tires, trim rings and hubcaps. A complete passenger door, a stack of prior vehicle registrations, receipts, owners manual, original build-sheet and license plate dealership frame. I have placed a reasonable reserve on the car, based on overall condition.
