1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Additional Info:

Here's the rundown so you know what you're bidding on and are welcome to ask questions on this essentially single owner car! It is an excellent candidate for a concourse restoration or an awesome driver with minimal work needed.

Specs:1970 Mustang Mach 1, Wimbledon White exterior, Vermilion Interior. ~92850 original miles. The car is a numbers matching unrestored driver, it is a survivor! Factory markings are still on the engine block. VIN is 0F05M201466. Build sheet is in the attached pictures. 351 Cleveland, 4 BBL, FMX Auto, shaker hood, power steering, power brakes/discs up front.

Aftermarket:An electric fuel pump, a Holley carb, an AM/FM cassette radio and some rear speaker are all that have been added besides battery, shocks, tires, belts and some hoses to keep her running over the years. I have the original radio for the car.

Body/Frame Condition:The floor pans, lower quarters, rockers and frame rails are all solid with just surface rust/scale. This isn't a rust bucket with hidden surprises. There are some dings and scratches on the original paint, but it still shines. Some paint-less dent repair would do wonders. In 1972 the car was rear-ended and then repaired at the dealership the car was purchased from in Manhattan Kansas. The repair replaced the lower quarters and tail light panel, however instead of welds, rivets were used to attach the sheet metal in the wheel wells and the tail light panel. Pictures of the trunk area and inside the rear quarters are shown in the attached pictures. The repair was done well, however there is a light amount of bondo on the shoulders of the quarters that has cracked over the years. The paint from the repair was blended very well. On the front areas of the car, the paint is 1970 original and the rear was done in 1972, it has not been repainted since just washed and waxed. There are rust spots on the fender aprons in the engine bay shown in pictures, however it is not rusted through to the wheel wells, just the top sheet metal piece of the fender apron and does not require an extensive repair.

Mechanical/Electrical:The engine has not been rebuilt and still runs great once it is warmed up, no blue smoke. The alternator, power steering pump and radiator also look to be original. The electrical is in excellent shape and has not been significantly molested over the years. With the exception of the aftermarket stereo and me adding a wire for the electric choke it is very original. The intake and heads are the original 4 BBL. The car needs suspension bushings and a brake job, but goes down the road straight without a bunch of play in the steering.

Interior:The interior is in very good condition and all of it with the exception of the headliner can be used, as is unrestored. The headliner has a small hole, but only in one spot under the sun visor and is otherwise in very good shape. The dash is not cracked nor is the carpet excessively worn. The rim-blow horn works perfectly, the clock.. not so much. The driver door panel arm rest is a bit cracked and had red duct tape over it, but it can be repaired by a good vinyl worker. I've looked for NOS replacement seat covers, door panels and carpet in those color combos, pretty sure no one is making them which makes it even more unique and original.

I am the second owner. The original owner was meticulous as shown by the notebook in the center console showing maintenance and fuel-ups. The car was always garaged and he told me before I left with it to never drive it in the rain. For 50 years old, still road worthy and unrestored, she's in very good shape! I am happy to send additional pictures by request as well as video of startup and running, the car is garaged in Colorado. If you want to chat about the car, we can arrange a call.
