1965 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Additional Info:

This is a nice running project car that you can drive as is or finish it in your choice of paint color. I have owned it since 2001. I have slowly done many repairs and updates. The mileage is unknown, but shows 33500. Had about 32,000 when I got it. The speedo works, lights work, interior lights work, blinkers work, heater works, power steering works, radio makes noise,(I play it thru headset on my iphone), brake lights work. Horn needs work, will work at times. Car runs out good and stops good. Tracks good and is aligned properly. Power is from a transplanted 1970 351C 4V.(code D0AE-L) Heads(D0AE-A). Edelbrock 4 barrel on a Holley Aluminum Dominator manifold. Mild cam(make unknown). FMX 3 speed automatic (1970). Car has factory power steering, rare factory front Disc Brakes, factory Air Conditioning with most parts missing. I don't know the horsepower but the car has good acceleration.
I have had all body work done - New 3 piece trunk floor, New lower rear quarters(outside and inside), new rocker panels under the doors. new right dog leg in front of quarter. Car was taken down to metal and sprayed with a 2 stage poly primer. It needs to be block sanded and minor tweaking to be ready for paint. All lower trim holes were filed or eliminated with new metal pieces. I left holes in rear of trunk lid and the upper rear quarters, and the hood ornament hole. I was going to fill these if I ever painted, but you have the option. I have most of the trim pieces. The floor pans did not need any work. I carefully examined them under the car and from the top when the seat were redone.
What it needs: horn fixed or a new horn, radio work(comes with new antenna), paint job of your choice( was originally a silver blue), tranny shifter kit(I have the kit to tighten up the shifter) it can pop out of park. I like to start it in neutral and let it idle in neutral. (common with these Galaxies). Could use door felt. I have a whisker kit that goes with car. The bumpers are presentable but could be redone.
What I've done: All body work, all new interior( seats, carpet, headliner, all 4 arm rest), rebuilt FMX tranny, new brakes, balanced drive shaft, engine freeze plugs, all tune up items, carb rebuilt, starter, alternator, many other odds and ends. Torque Thrust II polished spoke wheels. Front 17'x8". Rear 17"x9 1/2". Tires: Riken Raptor, front P215/45R17, rear P245/45R17.Tires and wheels installed at 33,174 miles, so about 1300 miles on them.
Please email with questions. This is a good running car. Due to age of course I would advise shipping it. Shipping is up to buyer. I will be available to assist the shipper. I in northwest Arkansas in the Rogers area. 2 hours east of Tulsa and 4 hours south of Kansas City.

This is my personal car and I am not a dealer. I sell a lot of vintage toys and some car parts on ebay, since 1999 and have good feedback. I am getting tired and older and want this Galaxie to go to a good new home. Not looking for any trades. I may look for a good Crown P71 when my Gal sells.
