1950 Ford Other Pickups F1 Additional Info:

1950 Ford F1Pickup Truck. This is a very solid old truck. A good candidate for a full restoration. Selling withNo Reserveto the highest bidder. Contact must be made within 24 hours of the auction ending or it will be assumed that you have no intention of honoring your bid and the truck will be offered to others. Zero Feedback bidders must make contact prior to bidding.
This truck has a very solid and straight body, it has very minimal rust. The doors and cab corners are in excellent condition with no signs of rust. The fenders have some corrosion in the usual areas that 48-52 Ford trucks suffer from but it is not unsightly. The running boards have some rust through but they are very usable. The floorboards have rust but it would be an easy repair. The body of this truck is incredibly straight with minimal dents for a farm truck of this era. All emblems are present, it is badged as an F47 rather than an F1 due to being a Canadian market truck. In Canada trucks were badged via GVW from 1948-50 hence the half tons 4,700 lb GVW designating it an F47.Overall this is a very good all original example of a highly sought after 1950 half ton Ford Short Bed pickup truck. The very solid and straight body gives it an aesthetically pleasing look and makes it an ideal candidate for a full restoration.
The interior is complete and in good condition for its age. The seat will need re-upholstering as is always the case with un-restored trucks of this vintage. The plastic Ford radio blank is brittle and cracked, these are reproduced and easily sourced.
This truck rolls and steers freely for ease of loading onto a trailer or moving into a shop. All tires hold air. The Flathead V8 runs. We had it running from a gas can and put new ignition components in it, along with fresh fluids. It will require a fuel pump and the gas tank cleaning. The transmission and clutch seem to operate just fine. The brakes will need going through. Overall this truck is a very easy project from a mechanical standpoint.
This will make a great project being that it is a highly desirable 1950 half ton V8 Ford truck that runs and has relatively minimal rust to contend with compared to most examples. It deserves bringing back to life. Selling withNo Reserveto the highest bidder.

who we are and what we do

We are two brothers who seek out original trucks and cars from all across Canada, specializing in vehicles from the 40s, 50s and 60s.

Most American barn finds have long since been found and tampered with by multiple owners; North of the border there still seems to be an abundance of good, solid, original vehicles, waiting to be brought back to life.

We make thesevehicles available to the US market by taking care of importation and providing all paperwork required to obtain a ClearUS Title, in your name and home State.

We are passionate about finding the best there is and understand that our customers wantto see automobiles that have not been tampered with; The more original, the better.

Our inventory is regularly updated, as new finds are unearthed. If there is something specific that you are looking for, then let us know and we'd be happy to see if we can help.

The business we conduct is straightforward and honest. Whether you're looking for something that'sall original, a starting point for a restoration project or the bones for a custom build, Bison Brothers are here to help.
