1966 Ford F-100 SINGLE CAB LONG BED 4X2 390CI PRISTINE Additional Info:

CDC Presents... An exceptional single-cab long-bed 1966 Ford F100. This truck may be the final year of the fourth generation of F-Series trucks, but it single-handedly made the biggest mark in Ford pickup history. The 1966 Ford F100 forever altered the course of the genre, evolving from a single-use, work-only vehicle to a versatile machine capable of hauling cargo, yet comfortable and luxurious enough to serve as a daily driver. The introduction of Ford's Twin I-Beam independent front suspension for two-wheel... drive pickups changed the F-Series for the remainder of the 20th Century. Take your time to sift through ALL of our photos of this incredible rust and damage free 1966 Ford F100 as we take you on an excursion in this iconic American collector truck. CDC Preparations... Upon acquisition of a classic truck of this calibre, our intial steps of preparation for market are through a visual and mechanical inspection. When it first arrived, we put it on the lift and powerwashed the undercarriage. This frees the vehicle of any grime and debris to help reveal any forseeable issues. Presumably an accident free vehicle, the underside of this truck shows no damage or rust. It needed miniscule refurbishing in order to prepare it for market. As you will see in over 150 photographs of this F100, this truck is in impeccable shape. Following the undercarriage inspection, this F100 went through our service department where our technicians performed a thorough mechanical inspection. With only minor tweaks and a quick standard service, this F100 is ready to go. Finally, our preparations come to an end with cosmetic and driver-experience details. This F100 was carefully and thoroughly detailed. During this detailing process, the interior is inspected for functionality and quality. There are no rips or tears in the seat, and it adjusts and folds down flawlessly. The dash and buttons show minimal wear and tear. The single guage was closely inspected for functionallity and works flawlessly. When the vehicle first arrived, we noticed that the painted steel in and around the door jams looked dated, so we refurbished and painted that metal. Upon completion of the detailing process, this F100 is ready for market. Exterior... The condition of this 1966 F100 is undoubtedly its most distinctive feature. The overall body styling is relatively standard, but finding one in this condition is unheard of. As you look down the side of this truck, you see no waves or dents on either side, and no dents around the edge of the bed. The front grille and bumper align properly and show only minor rock chips. The truck was professionally repainted in its factory color of Sahara Beige. The "FORD" on the tailgate was then custom painted in a Rangoon Red for accent. The wheels are original steel wheels with the original hub caps accented with Rangood Red as well. Both rearview mirrors, including the optional passenger side mirror, show no wear or damage. The bed of the truck is in immaculate condition inside and out, leading us to believe it was never actually used for work. Interior... Ford designed the interior of the 1966 F100 with simplicity in mind. There is only one guage in the center of the dash behind the steering wheel containing all of the essentials: ALT, Fuel, Temp, Oil, Mileage, and Speedometer. The remainder of the dash is smooth and simple, lined with knobs for cabin control and lights. The original bench seat is a knitted vinyl in tan, matching the rest of the truck. It is comfortable comes standard with seatbelts. Test Drive... The drive in this F100 is simply enjoyable. It starts right up every time and has no trouble idling even when cold. The steering and gear shifts are tight and precise. With a 4-Speed manual transmission, 1st gear is certainly a granny gear. Once you have the truck moving, you immediately feel safe with plenty of visibility due to the ride height and upright positioning of the seat. Looking over the hood is a simply nostalgic for every classic Ford F-Series fan.
