1985 Ford F-150 Additional Info:

Nice old F-150, runs and drives great! It has the 351w engine with a 3 speed automatic transmission. the odometer shows about 97000 but I do not know if it has gone around, the mileage will go up as I still drive the truck

Inside it has cloth with power windows and door locks.

Outside has been painted base/clear in orange and white, and it has been touched up and had panels repainted with almost matching paint, but it is very straight for its age and really looks good from 20ft! Also it had some lettering on it at some point and in some light you can see the ghost of where the letters protected the paint. They did not paint the doors or jambs so that still shows the original blue. The truck is very solid and shows almost no rust, the tailgate has a little as you can see in pictures, but the rockers and doors and cab corners are all in good shape, I have not pulled the carpet but nothing shows underneath.

Everything works as far as I know except the cruise control, the park brake (broke cable), and the radio. Windows and door locks work, heat and A/C work great (I did have to top off the A/C this summer).

The truck has an Edelbrock carburetor and runs very well, the only issue is hot starts after sitting for 15-45 min, it always does start but you have wind on the starter for a while.... I have been told about "vapor lock"... but it runs and starts so well all other times I have left it alone. The truck does not smoke or use a noticeable amount of oil, and the only leaks I know of are minor... the driver's side valve cover gasket and where the rear end bolts into the axle housing.
This truck has been maintained well and has many new parts, I would drive it anywhere. When I got the truck it had sat for a couple years so I pulled both tanks, cleaned and reinstalled the front one with new fuel lines.... the back tank was rusted badly so I left it out, but I have the straps and filler neck if you want to reinstall... a new tank is around $140 from Napa.
I love this old truck but I bought a 3/4 ton to pull a trailer so this one needs to go, I am located in Greenville SC.
