This is a very rare original R code XL convertible that I have owned for 17 years. The 63 R code XL convertible is one of Fords most iconic and sought after models. This one is uniquelyspecial in that It has only 35,200 miles on it and less than 100 miles on the fully rebuilt original engine. This is a no rust ever Georgia car that has never been damaged. It waspurchased new by the father of a nationally known Ford authority and restorer. It has had one repaint long before I bought it, most probably in the 1980's or 90's and it was done right as there are no flaws over this length of time.The door jams and trunk are original paint, the interior is 100% original including the carpets. When I bought the car it had been sitting for many years and all of the mechanicals needed attention. Everything mechanical was rebuilt including, engine, and everything bolted to it, the suspension, brakes, transmission, rear end with new Detroit locker and 4;11 gears as it had when it left the Ford Atlanta plant.
