1970 Ford Other Additional Info:

This is a "1969.5" Ford Maverick. It was sold new in Middleport, Ohio in August of 1969. The 69.5 Mavericks are unusual due to the key on the dashboard and the, horn ring on the steering wheel. They only made them this way in 1969 and the later 1970 models had the key on the steering column and had a different steering wheel. This is also an unusual car in that it is a true low mile "survivor" car. It has only two options. The AM radio and the appearance package that got chrome around the windows and 14" wheels and full hubcaps. There is so much unique about this car. Notice the paper sticker that is located behind the license plate and the crayon marks from the factory under the rear bumper in one of the pics. Notice the rear seatbelts still have the plastic on them from the factory. The hubcaps still have Ford stickers on the inside of them.

This car is a 3-speed manual with the small 170 cubic inch 6-cylinder. Notice the sticker on the air cleaner states a whopping 105 horsepower. :-) It is definitely no race car. The 4-wheel drum brakes work great and the manual steering is easy to manage since the tires are about as skinny as they get. It starts easily, every time, even after sitting for a while. Of course, the car has always been garaged and has never been driven on anything other than sunny days since I have owned it. I have had it for a little over 2 years and I really don't want to sell it but I have too many vehicles and can use the money to finish some projects. I'm sure I will never find another car like this one but it is time for someone else to enjoy it.

I have the original bill of sale (pictured), the original registration, the original owner's manual and warranty book. I also have a "preliminary" service manual, a 1970 Maverick sales brochure, and a 1970 Ford car model lineup brochure that all go with the car. I have many more detailed pictures of the car that I am happy to share with interested parties but Ebay limits me to 24 so I picked the ones that seem to best show the condition of the car.

The car is in Knoxville, TN and I am happy to show it to prospective buyers in person if you want to come take a look at it. The buyer is responsible for transportation costs but I am happy to assist with pickup if a shipper is involved, once certified funds are deposited. I do have a tow vehicle and trailer so I can arrange for delivery, for a fee, within a few hours drive of Knoxville. I'm reluctant to ship outside the 48 states due to scams but we can discuss it if it gets to that point.
