Brief Overview / History:

I am the third owner. The car has a little over 159,000 original miles (excluding motor/trans). The car sat since 1993 due to needing an engine overhaul and needing many other things replaced. It was primarily garaged as a restore project by the second owner, which just never happened! I purchased the vehicle in 06/2017 and started restoring it. The car was in need of a lot of TLC (basically worn out) but I took my time and went from bumper to bumper fixing and replacing most components. I am a retired licensed mechanic and I do restore’s as a hobby. I take my time and I only believe in doing things right! When finished, I drive them for a little bit and turn them over in excellent condition to the next owner and then start a new restore project – drives my wife crazy LOL. I will not spare any details so you know exactly what your getting for your money. I don’t believe in hiding anything or deceiving anyone!

Lastly, the original 289 V8 C-Code motor must have become defective within the Factory three-year warranty period because it appears Ford replaced the Motor and Transmission in 1971 and there is a compliance label on the door pillar. BUT HERE IS THE GREAT NEWS, they replaced it with a 302 V8 F-Code and the newer style transmission, so it has the originally replaced factory motor and transmission in it.

My main objective with this restoration was to keep the car as original as possible using Factory OEM Style replacement parts only. I have ALL receipts for the following.
