1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Additional Info:

I already have too many projects so this one needs a new home. I haven't owned it long but here is what I know about the car.
At some point it was restored and painted black, poorly. Both doors were replaced with original Ford doors, not repros, consequently the door tag is gone. VIN tag and body buck tag are present. First five on the VIN are 9TO2M, so we know it is a '69 fastback with a 4 barrel 351 built in Metuchen. Body buck tag gives me 63C for Mach 1, a W for Meadowlark Yellow, and a 3A for High back bucket seats. So while it isn't the Boss 302 we all hope to find, it is a legit Mach 1. About 15 years ago, the previous owner purchased and disassembled the car and started collecting parts. Every last nut and bolt was removed and the shell was sitting on jackstands when I bought it. I loosely assembled the body parts and stacked the rest of the stuff on pallets. Not much of a history, but that brings us up to speed.
Here are a bunch of pictures. ***never mind, this is where I was going to link to 75 pictures of the car, but apparently that is frowned upon. Message me an email address and I will send you the link. Sorry for the inconvenience.****
You can see in the pictures that there is a lot of new sheetmetal, I figure it is about $2,500 in parts there. There was a parts car at some point that supplied the extra gauge cluster and glove box door, an extra set of door panels, as well as some extra trim. I have the door glass and regulators, 1/4 glass, and 2 rear windows. I do not have a windshield. Most of the front suspension is missing but there are complete spindles, new strut rods, and a steering box with pitman arm. Rear leaf springs are hanging from broken shackles but does have what appears to be the original 9" rear end. I have a top loader 4 speed with a Hurst shifter and what appears to be a mid 70s 2v 351W to go with it. Condition of those mechanical parts is unkown. Latches, handles, and hardware are all boxed up. I do not have a grill. I do have brand new Driver side fender extension for the front and rear. Rear seat and front seats are included and appear to be original to the car.
I took pictures of all the rust holes and bubbles I could find. I also took pictures of places that usually rust and didn't on this car. The windshield and back glass openings are rock solid. The cowl is in great shape. The car doesn't really need the new firewall that comes with it. The rear torque boxes look good and the rear frame rails are fine. The front rails are serviceable if you didn't want to replace them, it definitely needs the sub rails. This is a perfect shell for a pro-touring build where you would remove most of the original floors and structure anyways keeping only the exterior sheetmetal.
If you are interested in the car, but not interested in the work that goes along with it, we can help with that, too!
I'm sure I left a lot of information out, if you have a specific question or want pictures of something in particular, let me know.
I can deliver, or arrange delivery in an enclosed trailer within 250 miles of Beach Park, IL after payment is made.
This project is for sale locally, and I may end the auction any time.
***Any messages inquiring about the reserve price, will not be responded to. It's a secret, that's how a reserve price works. If you really want to know, keep bidding! :) ***
