1966 Ford F-350 Additional Info:

If you are looking at this ad, you most likely know how hard it is to find any 1961-1966 Ford truck in original condition, let alone an F350. They made fewer F350 trucks compared to the F100 and F250 counterparts. Factor in the few F350's made and try to find an F350 that was a motorhome originally. This is a RARE truck!
This F350 is an original survivor truck with a cool history. I have receipts/paperwork showing ownership back to the 1970's in Cottage Grove, Oregon. I have one receipt showing basic tune-up and minor engine repairs done in 1976 when the truck only had 900 miles on it! Heck, the truck still has a repair sticker in tact in the door jam from 1975 and it is still very legible (see pictures). That sticker alone shows how little the truck has been used since 1975! I was able to recently acquire this F350 from an elderly gentleman as part of his estate in Beaverton, Oregon. He owned the truck for 25+ years in the exact condition it sits in today. He planned on restoring the vehicle but never got around to it. It has not been started or ran on over 25 years. The current odometer shows 10593 miles. While I cannot guarantee it, based on the shape of the truck, the original paint, trim, stickers, and the story that has been passed down, I believe the miles to be original.
According to the VIN and data tag, this truck came from the factory as an F-350 with a 352 (2 bbl carb), built in San Jose, CA, built in January of 1966, has a 132" wheelbase, Wimbledon White exterior (still original paint), 10000 lb GWV, 4 speed synchronized manual new process 435 transmission, 4.10 ratio Dana/Spicer 70 rear end. The truck seems to have all its original body panels, paint, interior, engine, trim, etc. I have not tried to start it or even attempt it. I will leave that for the new buyer. It is a roller, although a heavy one! The motorhome part of the truck is long gone. What you see in the photos is what you get.
In terms of rust, I truly believe one would be hard pressed to find a better example in this price point. I see a little rust on the nose of the hood. But, I do not see rust holes. The cab is amazing since it was covered for a portion of its life from a motorhome. Please note, the F350 cab is a step-up cab which is correct for this truck. It came with 3 gas tanks. The battery is located under a lid found on the passenger side floor. The original Whimbledon White paint is thin but offers the currently popular "patina" or aged look. I would be content clear-coating the current paint. The body is overall pretty straight with a couple of minor dings and scratches, to be expected. Even the factory rubber floor mat is in overall good shape.
The truck will come with a spare tire/wheel that I will place on the passenger side floor prior to shipping. It is up to the buyer to arrange shipping. However, I will gladly assist with getting the truck on a trailer/transport. I have a signed Oregon title in hand. Please note, Oregon DMV placed a "reconstructed" brand on the title since it was/is missing the motorhome. I have no idea why they did that. If this truck went to any other state, I wonder if that brand would go away?
If you have any question, please ask prior to bidding. I have many more photos I can e-mail if you provide me with your contact information. I can also text photos if that is easier. Needless to say, this vehicle is being sold "as-is" with no warranty, set asides, or guarantees. If Ford cannot warranty it, I sure cannot do it! :) Lastly, I have the right to end this auction at any time as the truck is also for sale locally. There is no reserve so bid to own! Thanks for looking.
