Here at Cali Motors, we absolutely LOVE Ford Bronco’s! If you have followed us for any period of time, you have seen everything from the flawless perfection of the $75,000 burnt orange hardtop to the radical desert-runner style of the green glass-bodied roadster. Over the years, more than two-dozen Bronco have been our Foster kids, and they all had one thing in common… they sold for over $30,000.

Finding an affordable Bronco that isn’t sitting in boxes or sitting in a field with tree’s growing through it is getting harder and harder to do, but thankfully we found one to share with you!

We have been so incredibly busy this year, we won't have time to give this machine the attention it deserves, so rather than tuck it away, we figured we would let it go to someone who can keep driving it and enjoying it the way it is, OR give a little upgrade.

This 1966 Bronco half-cab pickup is a real steel, REAL U100 that was used to shuttle friends and children to the beach by the same family since 2004! No, it’s not perfect, but it isn’t $30,000++++ either!

The white paint on the Bronco looks good when you’re cruising past in it, but close examination with reveal many small blemishes, scrapes, scuffs, and other markings from being used as a families summer toy for 14 years. Some of the marks are touched up, some are not, and thanks to the white finish, it really does look good from 10 feet away. What it really needs is a new paint job and some light body work to make it show like it did when it was first finished back in 2004.

I’m not shy about taking photos, and you can see every square foot of the truck in all its unedited glory in the 130 photos below. Could you drive it and enjoy it like it is? ABSOLUTELY! In fact, it’s probably more fun than driving a $50,000 one, because you can just enjoy it, and not worry so much!

This is a real U14/U-100 Pickup, and the original hardtop is included in this sale as well, as shown in the bottom photos. It is good condition, but will need new seals and paint to be restoration quality.

The fenders have been cut to allow clearance for the much larger BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires, which are size 33x12.50-R15LT all around, and have less than 500 miles on them! They are wrapped around polished and gray duo-tone American Racing 6-slot wheels that also have around 500 miles on them.

Fender flares were added around the cut-outs, and they are clean, neat, properly affixed and show well.

Up front, a twin-tube front bumper with large brush bar looks great, while a diamond plate rear bumper shows some signs of being used, but still shows well.

Headlights work, high beams work, parking lights out back work, and the driver side works up front. Turn signals are not functional at this time though.

Windshield is clean and shows well, with only a few marks to show, and no cracks or chips. Vent glass looks good, and is clean as well. Side glass is good, and shows no cracks or chips, and only light marks from time. Side windows go up and down pretty easy, and the vent windows open and close.

Side mirrors, antenna base, door handles, and Bronco emblems are about the only shiny items on the truck, and they show well.

Open the tailgate, and you will see clean metal, and no rotted or damaged areas inside the gate or mounting area. Gate mounts could use new poly bushings, as they sag a little.

The bed and rear fender well area is clean and solid, and has been treated to a light coat of bedliner spray for protection.

Roll cage is clean and solid and sturdily affixed.

Bimini roof is clean and shows no rips or tears. It stays in place, even at 50mph.

Inside, the rubber mat is solid and not brittle, but does show some wear and tear in spots.

Rubber cover for the clutch is missing, but the brake and gas are intact.

Base plate, shift boot, and knobs for both the gear selector and transfer case are in good condition, and the arms would look amazing with a little elbow grease and polish.

Dash has been covered with a cut sheet of diamond plate, and it houses Stewart-Warner gauges as follows from left to right:
TACH –FUNCTIONAL
SPEEDO – FUNCTIONAL
VOLTAGE – FUNCTIONAL
FUEL – FUNCTIONAL
OIL PRESSURE – FUNCTIONAL
ENGINE TEMP – FUNCTIONAL

Below the mini gauges is a Pioneer AM – FM – CD stereo with detachable face plate for security. It sounds good coming through the dual speaker center console, and it works well too.

A few easy-access fuses, and some switchgear for any lights or extras you want to add down the road round things out.

Dash pad is solid, but shows some rips and tears from use.

Steering wheel is clean and functional and shows well.

Door panels are steel and solid, and the door pulls and window rollers are functional, but not perfect looking.

Seats are EXCEPTIONALLY NICE, and have a water friendly fabric that won’t mind being caught in a little shower! They have adjust headrest and recline, and seatbelts for safety.

The V8 in the Bronco is a transplant from something, and we couldn’t get any casting numbers to decode it.

It starts, runs, idles, and pulls well, but is NOT some radical performance-built motor. Think stock 289/302 kind of power, with some dress up items.

Chrome valve covers are not leaking or weeping, and the driver side shows clean while the passenger side displays pitting. Drive it like it is, or drop a couple bucks at Summit and get new ones when you get it home.

Air cleaner is clean, and the carb was recently tuned and adjusted after a fuel line flush in BOTH tanks, and a new fuel pump.

Yes, BOTH tanks are intact and work, which is a rarity.

Radiator is fairly fresh addition, and it keeps things running cool with a massive fan and hi-flow water pump.

Front disc and rear drum brakes are power assisted, and work quite well to stop this thing.

Underneath, the chassis shows the oxidized parts and dirt and grime you’d expect to see on something that has been driven and kept lubricated…NOT parked in a garage to dry up.

There must be 12 chassis shots below, so take a peek at all of them, and don’t hesitate to ask for anything additional that you want to see.

Pans are clean, rockers are clean, exhaust is basic and functional, shocks are fairly recent additions, and the whole undercarriage looks pretty good considering it isn’t a trailer Queen!

4wd engages as it should, in both low and high. Hubs function as they should.

Manual 3-speed gearbox works as it should, and it shifts smoothly without any shudder or odd pedal feel.

Steering is fairly tight, and the big tires help it track smoothly at all speeds without any weird wandering or pulling. Turning is not bad in the parking lots, and really lightens up nice when you start adding speed.

It is a really cool example of a rare half-cab with a clean and clear title that’s ready for a new home.

I took 130 photos of it from every angle I could, and I encourage you to ask questions, come see it, or arrange for an inspection if you want to PRIOR TO BUYING IT.

I don't have anything to hide, and have tried to cover every part of the vehicle as best I could.

The vehicle is located in our Fort Myers, FL warehouse, and is just 20 minutes away from Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) if you want to fly in and see it.

I welcome outside inspection services BEFORE YOU BUY OR BID.
