1966 Ford Mustang SPRINT Additional Info:

WHAT IS A MUSTANG SPRINT? From what I have read it is a option package, 200 6 cylinder with chrome air cleaner and valve cover, usually a console, wire hubcaps, delete quarter molding, added pin stripes, "its just a dress up package". IS THIS A REAL SPRINT? I think so, but you can't tell from the VIN. Hubcaps have been changed and pin stripes left off when it was painted. HOW ABOUT RUST ? Frame extensions look solid to me, floors solid,...the only thing I see is a metal repair at the battery box, this is due to old school batteries with acid. HOW IS THE PAINT? Nice shinny paint, I see no dents or dings, no rust bubbles and the car is straight when I look down the sides. Paint is nice, but its never been buffed. HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK! TURN SIGNALS WORK! BRAKE LIGHTS WORK! GAS GAUGE WORKS! WIPERS WORK! HORN NOT WORKING! HOW IS THE ENGINES? Its a good running inline 6 cylinder thats 200 cubic inch. I hear no knocks or rattles and see no blue smoke. It starts good and has plenty of power for interstate driving. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a good shifting automatic with no slip. HOW IS THE TIRES? Radial tires with good tread. HOW ARE THE HUBCAPS? They are style steel factory look hubcaps and they look new. HOW DOES THE CAR STOP? To me it stops good, we put new brakes shoes, wheels cylinders on all four wheels and rubber lines on the front. HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? To me it drives good, it is not power steering. NEW GAS TANK! AIR SHOCKS ON THE REAR! HOW IS THE INTERIOR? Nice interior, no real wear, no cracks in the dash pad, head liner original and decent. tHE REAR FLOORS HAVE BEEN REPLACED AS WELL AS THE REAR INTER DROP DOWNS. WHAT IS THE HISTORY OF THE CAR? All I can tell you is that I bought it from a car restoring friend that lives near Cincinnati.
