1966 Ford Mustang GT350H Additional Info:

It HERTZ to let this one go!

You are viewing my choice 1966 first generation Mustang Convertible. Just completed the build in Shelby Hertz GT350 clothing. Out of over 100 mustangs I have had in 25 years, this one convertible was my keeper. Because of its pristinemolested condition, I have cut no corners for myself.

I purchased this fine originalmustang from the original owner. This mustang with only 67k miles was babied all those years. The original Carlite Tinted Windshield is flawless and still sports the Galpin Ford (Shelby GT1000 fame) sticker in the corner .

This is a true solid Los Angeles California car. (DSO 71) and has never seen salty back east roads. Out of my collection of pristine fine Southern California car collection this is my best 66 Convertible ! This build started withan original 289 V8 car, not a converted six cylinder.

This car sports all new black Pony Interior, seat buns, set upolstery, door panels and handle, gauge bezel and glove box, 0and a rare Rally Pac option which I updated to a 8000 RPM (FORD) Digital one. These are hard to find as the FORD name cannot be used on this item no longer.

This car is a blast to drive and gets a lot of attention everywhere it goes. You get allot of rubber necking and jaw dropping with this car. Everything was stripped from the car including door handles, bumpers, emblems, rubber etc before being painted with a high quality Raven Black DuPont brand paint. Then Le Mans racing stripes were painted to exact Shelby specifications using the correct paint/powder then a clear coat applied. Then another clear coat was added then color sanded and buffed out to a mirror shine. No raised striped paint edges. Many hours of block sanding went into this paint job to give it a very straight razor finish. Just look at the side shots, look at the reflections. They are as clear as a picture and those are reflections! No Chips, Dents or Scratches. This is a fresh build of a classic beauty right out of my collection of RUST-FREE Southrn California cars!

You can always tell if your mustang is a “Frankenstein” meaning put together with many after market panels and parts. NOT THIS ONE! Always check door gaps and alignment to fenders and quarter panels for factory assembled gaps between panels. You will find that there perfect on this car. Closing the doors, you can tell this car is low miles and not molested. Check out the window sticker stored since 2001, only a few miles added since then.

I went over board in this restoration with no expense spared as this was a keeper car of mine. I had the FACTORY ORIGINAL FLOORPANS scrubbed clean, then red oxide primed them like the factory did back in 66’. (see original red oxside pans and factory chaulk markings pic)This is a true California car with an “R” as the 2nd digit in the vin and a DSO 71 for Los Angeles. The floor pans were carefully inspected for any rust before the carpet was laid. (see pics) You could eat off those original floor pans! Not a hint of rust anywhere!! All the panels on this car are original. Check out that factory Red Oxide primer on the interior of the floor pans! No previous accidents here to be found! Try finding that here on Ebay or even Barrett Jackson or Mecum auctions. “ITS ONLY ORGINAL ONCE”.

Looking for an all original panel mustang to call your own and appreciate in value as would a solid car like this? Or maybe a problem free car that you can drive across the states? You have found it. This is a “keeper”

This car is factory equipped with its original 289 V8 motor as from factory. Both the engine and C4 Transmission run smooth and strong being that they were just rebuilt and still holds warrenties. A polished Air-Gap intake installed. Petronix electronic ignition installed as well with a Petronix Flamethrower Coil. for reliabily No more points in distributor. There is nothing you can do but to just drive it and have some serious fun! I have never planned on selling this car so I never took any short cuts. I have much more invested onto

my car than what I have set as a Buy It Now price.

For this Power Top I just installed last week a Robins Cloth Top with headliner, folding glass window and deep well liner.

The Fastback in the pictures has been sold, I saved the best for last!

This rust free straight California original recreation of that famous rent a car will make someone a proud owner with no disappointments. Check out my feedback… I have sold many very nice Mustangs with 100% positive feedback and people are just amazed with the cars I sell. Once my collection is gone, it’s gone.

Most early mustangs run hot. NOT THIS ONE! The modifications to the spark and breathing attribute to the engine running cool.

I have much more money than the Buy It Now price I have displayed. When you drive this ca, you will know where your money went.

Radio replicates the very very rare AM/FM radio option for 1966 except this one is omly better because its digital and with many features like BlueTooth capabilities.

This window sticker shows only a few miles from 6-19-01. That's only a few less miles currently on the car because of storage. Also attached another photo of a reflection off the quarter panel to reflect how straight my car is. Its razor straight.
