Please note that experience shows us that the photobucket of over 100 large pixel pictures posted here are in most cases best viewed and downloaded using the very latest and most updated version of the 'Firefox' browser as some other browsers and especially older browser versions are not capable of accommodating the size of the download. Over the years our clients have overwhelmingly been appreciative of our many unaltered large pixel photos posted in our ads and our feedback has been that it is very rare that a dealer will post all but the most flattering of professionally finished photographs. We prefer to post the many photos taken of the car, in sometimes unflattering but natural sunlight, in order for our prospective buyers to be able to see true and reliable images of the car advertised and that is the reason for some seemingly duplicated shots. We trust you will agree.
West Coast Classics are proud to present an exceptionally straight and rust free and beautifully restored example of this 1954 Ford F250 3/4 Ton Stake Bed Pick Up Truck with factory options including the highly desirable 'Custom Cab' and rebuilt 239c.i. 130HP V8 engine, which is very powerful for this truck, and its original 4 speed manual floor shift transmission. The truck is a beautiful example of a completely rust free and restored rare factory optioned Custom Cab V8 fifties stake bed and a true survivor and a super striking daily driver or promotional truck!

According to some sources Ford spent nearly $50M developing its new ranges of trucks for 1953! In any case the new F series trucks represented a major relaunch. A new chassis moved the front wheels 4" further back improving the turning circle and shifting the load center further forward making for better weight distribution. There was a larger cab with more head and leg room and larger windows and a 55% larger windshield for improved vision and not least of all, the all important lower positioned side windows which at last enabled one to rest an arm outside the cab when driving, giving rise to the now classic pose of pick up drivers! The Deluxe cab became the 'Custom' with foam rubber seating, extra sound insulation and trim and an extra option was the 'Magic' Air Heater.
Another grille change marked Ford's 1954 trucks, this time adding a pair of prominent vertical guards, which lasted only for one year. The V-8 badge on the grille indicates this pickup has Ford's newly introduced (1953-4) overhead-valve Y-block V-8
dubbed the 'Power King.' which marked the final departure of the old flathead V8. At 239 cubic inches, displacement was the same as the flathead's, but horsepower rose from 110 to 130. With a short stroke, overhead valves and higher compression, it revved more freely, had better cooling and produced more power. There were new transmissions too, a syncromesh 3 spd, a 3sp with O/D, a 4 spd and the Fordomatic auto.
This particular truck's 'Power King' 239ci V8 engine runs strong and sounds absolutely magnificent and the truck drives really well - must be driven to be appreciated - drives straight as an arrow with no strange road wobbles, shakes or rattles - a truly remarkable daily driver!

This is a very rare opportunity to own a great daily driving example of this very desirable and restored 1954 Ford F250 Stake Bed 3/4 Ton 4 speed manual Power King 239/130HP V8Pick Up in very fine daily driving condition ready for any classic American truck, collector or enthusiast tosimply enjoy or collect today!
